Pt is a XX female who came in with complaints of lower back pain. The patient was in a car accident a year ago and has had chronic lower back since then, she recently lifted a heavy box last week and noticed her lower back pain started to worsen and was constant. She had an x-ray done from the car accident but it came back normal. She complains that her lower back pain radiates down to her right leg, and at times her pain will radiate to her upper back. She states moving makes the pain worse and laying down helps the pain. She mentioned seeing her pcp two days ago for this lower back pain and was prescribed Narco and muscle relaxer however she feels no relif of pain. Pt also states she has been experiencing incontinence of her bladder. Denies dysuria, SOB, chest pain, neck pain, headache, cough, and vomiting.

A scribe allows for the doctor to give full attention to the patient

Ask if a person minds a scribe. I absolutely hate them, will not talk to doctors if they are there. Forced one on me twice but no more. In my records no way a secretary is I with me and making me uncomfortable again.

If you’d rather make things more difficult on the physician treating you, that’s on you. A scribe is not there to distract you. If anything, they are there to keep the doctor’s complete focus on you. A scribe is there to document and take notes for the physician. Simply ignore them and you’ll be fine.

@@msks723 😂😂😂 I’m glad you’re so educated on the subject, Karen. Guess what, sweetie, I use a scribe in my practice. Either deal with it or find a new practitioner. Your desire to be in control is very dangerous to your health.
