- Join me as I head to Flambards Theme Park in Cornwall for a day of fantastic rides in the beautiful sunshine. I also take my parents along to Flambards for their first ever visit and take my mum and dad and various different rides at the park! On ride POV's include footage from the Hornet Roller Coaster, Log Flume, Go Karts and many more awesome attractions at the park. Along with that we explore the fantastic Victorian Village along with the other indoor exhibitions located at Flambards!

This was my local park for about ten years 😂 now my local is West Midlands safari 😭
It was also my local park for about 10 years went here in 2000 last went here in 2008. It certainly isn't Alton Towers, but a nice family theme park. Sad to see extreme Force has gone the ranger ride it's currently in storage. But it's pretty much how I remember it. First went on the Thunderbolt aged 11 in 2001. Someone threw up on it once it the sick was spun round with the riders like a washing machine. Hearing the was as people were splashes with vomit. The park opened in 1976. From what I can remember the indoor attraction was always included in the ticket.

Westland midlands is fantastic! No upside downs, but still really fun!

My father passed away in 2005 but we went to this park in the 1990's, this brings back some lovely memories.
Remember going here back in 2013 at the start of my theme park enthusiasm!
The victorian village is world class. During the winter and off season they open the park for just interior stuff without all the rides for cheaper so you can turn up just for the interior attractions. They have a very clear calendar on the website so you can plan your trip. Another fun fact, back in the 80s it was called Aeropark and had a collection of interesting aircraft from the airbase next door (original owner was retired base commander). They were all removed in the late 90s when the park pivoted more towards theme park rides etc.

Flambards is my childhood! Love it! I can't go this year bc of covid but maybe next year! I'll try and go on the thunder bolt it looks really scary 😂⚡

Excellent video. Went in the eighties when the kids were little. Remembering the visit to the old shops and cobbled streets in the museum. Great t shirt dad .

I remember going when it was the Aero Park. The Concord exhibit was on Blue Peter and for years Blue Peter Competition Badge winners got in free!

Love Flambards, went there with my parents every time we went on holiday to Cornwall, haven’t been in a few years so it was nice to see they’ve added something new. I’m off to Great Yarmouth in a few weeks and cannot wait to go to pleasure Beach.

I might as well have grown up in Cornwall spent most my summers there and seeing Flambards makes all the memories come back. Doesn't get the recognition it deserves these days, so lovely to see it back on the channel!

Flambards was always a popular choice for us during the summer holidays many years ago. It looks very different now! Nicely maintained grounds etc. I would love to see another little coaster installation

this dome actually contains a strange attraction called "Space Race" and it is a himalaya/regatta style ride kinda like merlins challange at legoland windsor

The Victorian Street really reminded me of the one they have in York Castle.
The blitz used to terrify me as a kid and give me nightmares. It matches everything my (great) nan used to tell me about the war. Great video as always. Your enthusiasm at every theme park is contagious x

I went there to day and I went on the hornet and Log Flew and the chair swings and it was playing my fav music lonely and the go carts and the thunder Balt and sky force hope u and ur parents enjoyed it I liked it with my friend

I can see 4 rides at this park that used to be at my local theme park the American adventure they must have brought when the park sadly closed down I know u visited the park when you was younger

Hi shawn yes I totally agree with you its really brought home to us how bad it was in the war . Just not being able to go and do our every day work and play . It makes you think how much our grandparents really had to deal with. This was a great vlog loved seeing your Mum and Dad on here again. They are so lovely and great fun cherish them shawn. Paultons park use to have a old traveling gypsy horse wagon area that had old shops in it as well. It’s a shame it’s gone but it reminds me of the Victorian area that flambards has

The park feels like it's missing something. A stand out attraction to put the place on the map.
It could use another coaster for sure I think, a booster bike would fit in well at Flambards imo
I feel like this park is more for children and families

Hey Shaun, if you’re ever back in the south west there’s a park known as cornwalls crealy, it’s official name is camel creak! That’s a really nice park for the family, few nice little rides there and a few bigger ones for the adults (even a double drop log flume for Charlotte to enjoy😂)
Went there last summer, the double log flume gave me nausea!
We visited last year and enjoyed it!

You said the Pandemic hasn't been as bad as the time of the last war, my Gran who died from Covid in April told me before she died that it has been tougher than it was in the war, its been the isolation of the last 18 months, no socializing, during the war they still lived a normal life, yes times were hard but they didn't have the mental issues that being locked away from everyday life has given us all. I am not saying it's been harder for us, but a different set of challenges. I have nothing but the utmost respect for my Grans generation and what they did and went through so we can have the lives we have today.
Sorry to hear that. It’s certainly a difficult time for us all to deal with!

We’ve been to Cornwall every year for the last 20 since before we were married and always joked about going to Flambards. Now we’ve got little kids, I think next year will definitely be the year for it after this vlog!

This is the first time that I have seen your parents as I only recently started watching your channel and they seem lovely! I think that you look a lot like your Dad. Brilliant your mum was brave enough to get on the Hornet and log flume! Your dad is the opposite to you as a chatterbox! 😂 Only been to the Sainsbury's cafe there with a view of the park, looks worth visiting. Is that the Balloon Race from Drayton Manor?, used to love that as a kid
