Great advice! I remember being small and my parents stressing over money spent on Christmas presents and then when I got older they reformed how they celebrated and just only focused on giving to Jesus since it’s his birthday…not only did that save money but it helped to not let Jesus get lost in our traditions. So my husband and I haven’t bought Christmas gifts except Bibles for people occasionally.. I’m amazed at how many people get offended at the idea of celebrating how we celebrate, but it does save money! Jesus doesn’t want us to go in debt ever, but especially not in His name!

Yes!! People worry for months about what they “have” to get everybody, then they worry for months afterwards about how to recover from it. It really is a consumer trap!
@@Deerslayer525 it is and trying to get out of the trap is harder than trying to lose weight 🤔 we feel like it’s a way of life and because every one does it that we have to do it as well.
@@ashleyrowe3749 it’s so easy to do, we love people and we want to give. But the people we love would not want us to be stressed out over purchasing gifts. Maybe your family could start some new traditions😊😊 one gift per person, dirty Santa, or just get together and play games.

I do home made gifts .. homemade yeast rolls and bread and candy etc …
