- Yoo what’s up legends! Today dad and I went out to do some more grunter fishing at the beach! Dad outfished me 1-0… it was only a small grunter but they’re better than nothing! We had a blast and had some massive bites with some nearly pulling the rod in the drink! We were just using squid and pilchards for bait with only a single mullet left and that got taken pretty quickly!

@@bushfishncook2128 thanks so much mick! Really appreciate the kind words! I’ve got a few more rods to do in a minute… they were in the car when dad left… the grunter are sorta like the bream but with black stripes coming from their back!

@@AndrewFishman dads loving fishing more and more every time! He was actually the one who asked both times we went out and caught something and both times I said “NOOO, we’re not gonna catch anything” 😂😂 but both times we’ve caught something… and he even outfished me today!

@@AndrewFishman yeah, I was just worried/stressed that people would not follow me early on… as all I was catching was carp and Redfin… dad likes it even more know that we have the yak, he’s been out nearly every time I’ve been out! It’s just with his really bad back and shoulder that he can’t be in it for too long, he’s done his back multiple times as he overdid himself on the farm, sorta like Robbie’s back problems…

Do you need to pick a gutter? (deeper water) or are these critters all over the beach?
@@Michael_Lane_Fishing umm… I’m not really the best person to be telling facts about ocean fishing 😂, I’m really not that good at it…. But from what I’ve learnt, there is more chance of you hooking up/getting bites while in the gutters, the fish like the deeper water, I’m sure you could catch them anywhere though? 🤷♂️
