I just went there today. The rancher blocked off the main entrance like a dickhead. We have an extremely capable lifted jeep with huge tires and got there through Box Canyon. There were a couple spots where you want high clearance if you go the way we did. But, there are several trails that will get you there. There are a lot of cows too!
@@ianlaughlin85 I got to the petroglyphs coming from US60 on the north end. I have heard of people talk about issues entering from the west but we’re still able to get through. Sounds like you can’t now.
I just found your RUclips site while looking for 4WD Offroad places around Florence. I subscribed and look forward to seeing where you have been. I see that I have been to some of the places you posted. I am sure I will visit some of those that you introduce me to. By the way, I have a 21 Wrangler JLU Sport with an EcoDiesel. I love mine.
I've lived in AZ for some 35 years and your adventures take me places that I could never go...I don't have 4 wheel drive! Truly enjoy the experience... Just a thought...It might be helpful if you prefaced your video with a map outlining your trip itinerary
This run to the petroglyphs starts at US 60 and North Mineral Mountain Rd. Round trip was 15 miles and about 3 hours including walking the petroglyphs. If I remember correctly I believe there are signs along the way that direct you to the petroglyph site.
Was the shortcut through the ranch closed too? I had to go around through Mowry mine to get to the other side of Cottonwood Canyon Petroglyphs. It is supposed to be an easy ride but that rancher ruins everything.
You know, I heard there were issues at the ranch. I actually came in off of the US 60 and looped around by the turn off for Reymert Mine. When I got to the petroglyphs I went back the same way so not sure of the current situation at the ranch.

We exited that way and there was a do not enter sign right off the US60. That would be the easiest way though. @Trail89Adventures
@Trail89Adventures we just did the Apache Trail a couple days ago. I highly recommend it. 👍
@@ianlaughlin85 you can’t beat the scenery out there. It is just beautiful
@@ianlaughlin85 interesting. I haven’t been out in box canyon area for a while.

Good feedback on the map part. Makes total sense. Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoy.
This looks like a great ride. Thanks for introducing me to so much of AZ? How long did it take you one way? You didn't happen to record your route?
