A slip is where a ship is built or repaired. It's like a dry dock only ...wet. From Google : A boat slip is the portion of a pier, main pier, finger pier, or float where a boat is berthed or moored, or used for embarking or disembarking. Now we all know. 😉
Just to ask: isnt a dry dock also technically a slip at first until the locks are drained?

The Kul Tiran unlock quest is incredibly long compared to the others. The Zandalari one took about 15 minutes. Highmountain was also long.
I didn't mind the length all that much. There was a lot of travel, and it was an excellent opportunity to see everything at a more peaceful pace. It was a very peaceful questline.

There should’ve been an option to name the boat after Varian
Apparently, Lionheart was the name inspired by him. I choose that one and Anuin mention something about his father after being told the name.
@@Tillra Anduin is the lion boy, I always thought Varian was a wolf boy.
@CcReap3r That's why I'm confused by Anduin saying something about his farther. Because, as you stated, Varian is the wolf and he has always been reference to as such in one way or another. It's the first time I heard anyone reference him as a Lion.
@@Tillra I think there is a couple of lion references to Varian, it seems like there was a quest where they referenced him as a lion as well as Anduin stating that as well. Stormwinds crest is a lion, as well as the ground mount that you can buy in stormwind is a lion...but Im with you-he was more than often referred to as a wolf, embodied Goldrinn spirit, I believe that was covered in the book "Wolfheart"?
@@Tillra Varian showed near constant bravery. Lions are a symbol of bravery.

My friend and i both named our ship Lionheart. I felt Tiffin's Melody is not a good name for what is suppose to be a battleship.
It is perfect for Anduin's ship though.

The last half of the quest is literally the first saga of one piece. I need a sharpshooter, a navigator, a cook, and a doctor

this questline can be renamed "goddamnit I was just there" or "TODAY IS LEG DAY"
I named Anduins Ship Tiffin's Melody, simply because I felt would he would have liked it, he carries his fathers blade at his side and was gifted a ship named after his mother. his reaction alone was enough for me to come to know that I had made the right choice.
...and then I found out there was a Questline added to get Hati back and I did, I got my good Blue boy spirit beast Wolf back and spent the rest of the day an inconsoable wreck sobbing with joy. thank you to whoever it was that made that fanart of your void elf Hugging Hati goodbye that punched the devs in the feels.
and tip for any of my Hunter comrades, theres a gnome next to Thorim called Clockwork that sells consumable toy items for hati they are a rubber ball that you can toss and Hati will bring back to you (until he ends up breaking it as they do) some jolt jerky treats that might cause him to lick your face, a Fez for hati to wear, an Item that gives him cool Lightning effects to his abilities (spirit mend and the tenacity sheild ability look epic), and my favourite of all: the Ironspine protocal that lets you mount Hati out of combat, you heard me right: HATI. CAN. BE. RIDDEN. and a wipe that removed the cool lightning effects and the fez.
Do you know where the quest is located to get Hati back-I miss him, do you know if hunters can transform his look again?

and quick note: hati is a spirit beast now so only a beast master can tame him,but at the end of the quest line you get to choose what colour you want your Hati and can even tame all the diff colours too, theres a stable master who has this weird set of numbers as a name nearby for you to set your pets away if your full
but at the end where you reform hati if you have an empty space he will be auto-tamed.
they also made a minor change where Rare beasts keep their names now, so Hati will still be called Hati: but you can rename them if your want.
The way you rationalise Kul Tiran paladins is so real
They are part of the Alliance, but that's clearly not relevant, looking at who can become Paladins already let alone that Kul Tirans are not connected by land. Them doing things regular humans can't do and vice versa is quite a good reason to justify the creation of a Kul Tiran race
There's also the matter that in WC2 the paladins were an update to knights and Kul Tirans don't really use heavy cavalry same with GIlneans, so the idea of having heavily armored mounted warriors who can use the Light just didn't seem relevant to them.
I mean Gilneans don't have pallies but still belive in the Holy Light, yes they're now Worgen but it's very heavily implied that their class selection stems from what they had before the Worgen curse. Kul Tirans not are culturally closer to Gineans then to people of Stormwind, but also in terms of military tactics and strategy.
Lorewise the main reason humans started using paladins was that they were unable to protect their priests efficiently enough from the Old Horde, most likely due to Stormwind, Lordaeron, Stromgarde and Alteract having troops that were based on heavy infantry and cavalry (also to a degree Dalaran as well), while Gilneas seems to base their tactics of gunpowder with infantry mostly there to act as way to protect the guns and cavalry being practically non-existant so they would need to keep the priests as close to danger, on ground Kul Tiras seems to use similar tactics though they would normally fight with ships (their strength is their Navy after all) while letting other members of the take the brunt of the fighting on ground.
Thus having your priests also be heavy cavalry wouldn't be as relevant for Gilneas or Kul Tiras as their tactics made it so that the priest wouldn't be as often at risk (or when they were them being able to fight wouldn't change much).

this video had me laughing so hard-especially with the "are you dead" comments-thanks for this video, but the only way I would play a Kul Tirin is if I could look like Jaina -think Ill stick with the void elves lol
This quest reminded me of the Jaina questline, considering you travel around Kul Tiras and gather stuff. All that's missing are the dungeon runs and the cinematics.

I personally picked "Lionheart" as it sounded better.
Me too. I did it with my Alliance main who is a human warrior. "Lionheart" is the kind of name a proud knight of Stormwind would give a ship.

Kul Tiran paladins wouldn't make too much sense. The city state was founded by Gilneans that left Gilneas to search the seas. Gilneans didn't really worship the light. Paladins were created during the second war with the founding of the Knights of the Silver Hand. If I'm not mistaken Genn had already built his wall around his city by then. And the Paladins weren't exactly from the Alliance of Lordaeron, they were from Stormwind originally. Lordaen who the area is named after may have wielded the light I'm not sure, but if so he was probably more like battle cleric than a paladin. And the current Kul Tirans are sort of a mix of Drust and early Kul Tirans (aka Gilneans.) And that could also explain why they are more druidic and shamanistic that other humans.
And on the subject of human shaman, the early humans of Arathor were more shamanistic than those of Stormwind today. And given their Vrykul heritage it makes sense that they used to work with the elements instead of have a specific faith.
The center of gilneas' capital is literally a church to the light.
Also the wall went up shortly before the Third War.
Only 1 of the og knights of the silver hand was from stormwind. The rest were from various parts of Lordaeron (tirion for example was from Hearthglen)
They also have gilnean priests.

Why don't the horde use shaman and elementals to build things and bless ships, if the kul tirans can? I guess they wouldn't be so specialized, but it would still be helpful, right?
Maybe they can do something else that would be more productive and would be better than doing that?
The Kul Tirans have figured this out over the course of centuries. Orcs didnt go out on the ocean til they came to Azeroth
48:29 This also adds my belief that the old gods manipulated Sylvanus into starting this war by showing that she would go to hell if she died. this also could explain the fact Vol'jin is stuck as a ghost, and that the loa didn't tell him to make Sylvanus Warcheif, but the old gods. Think about it: every time we fight and win against an true old god (made by the void lords, not like the titans accidentally making G'huun) it was a combination of both the horde and alliance coming together to fight against them. C'thun? Dead. Yogg? Trapped in prison again. Yasharash? Garrosh literally adsorbed the heart and STILL couldn't defeat the alliance and horde. If one of the old gods, most likely N'zoth and Yogg, worked together to trick Sylvanus into thinking that she would go to hell, then making sure she was leader of the horde, and declaire war against the alliance and result in one faction being destroyed, then the old gods can rule again.
Are they prisons, or, given the hay on the floor, stables to transport horses (or other mounts) for knights? Is the map on the table, the same one as in the book store behind Mariner's Row in southern Boralus - from the original invasion by humans?

28:57 I said last xpac that they could just incorporate it into a new little micro story with the legions new death knight order. They can start at 50 because us heroes arent as strong as the lich king so we cant reanimate them to 55. It'd be so easy.

There's no point in unlocking Kul Tirans, just make a regular human, eat and sleep for a few days, no exercise, and voila, u get a Kul Tiran.

An achievement in argus where you have to kill a lot of specific mini bosses. The cheevo unlocks the arsenal of the light weapons.
