just out here trying to live my best anne of green gables life (빨간 머리 앤). come with me to the mountains of taebaek in gangwondo to play with goats on a sunny summer afternoon :) this trip from seoul took a little over three hours by bus but it was a lovely afternoon and even the bus ride was a gorgeous bonus! hope you're all doing well and see you soon!

quick korean comment coming by..! the 'yeom' in goat doesn't mean 'salt' here😂 (hence doesn't mean "salt cow" haha)
the origin of the word 'yeom-so(?)' isn't clear, but some popular theories suggest...
(thoery 1) in the 15 century people called goats just simply 'yeom', and people later on added the 'so(=cow)' part because goats are related to cows.(they are both in the family 'bovidae')
(theory 2) the 'yeom' is from 'soo-yeom' meaning 'beard'; therefore, goat means 'bearded cow'
i know it's a long, boring explanation, but i couldn't help it heehee

Just realized that all I really needed to fix my grumpy mood was a video about going to the mountains to visit goats and see some ducks and dogs as a bonus. Such a fun and relaxing video, spot on content as always.

Aww, friendly Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD). Likely chained up during the day and then released to bodyguard the goats and geese overnight. Honestly, those goats were pretty friendly too, they can get pushy or start nibbling your belongings lol. Goat rectangular pupils freak me out though. Sidenote: The cafe building had great architecture and a fantastic view.

This was such a perfect, calm and happy video for the end of the day. @@caricakes In Amsterdam in the summer we love sitting next to the canals for a little tiny breeze. Since we moved to London we switched to talking walks near the thames. But we will be moving to Seoul in a year or two, and I am looking forward to spending holidays in the mountains. Probably not in the winter though🤓. It is in Cheorwon❄️

We went to a zoo up north from where I live and the deer there were roaming around like goats... And storks too, giant GIANT storks they could carry a child away if wanted to and some of them were not even /in/ the zoo, they were on rooftops on neighboring buildings. It was amazing.

The valley this farm was in was really idyllic and just added to the whole atmosphere. +1 for animal adventures and I haven't been around many goats, but its fun watching them interact with each other and see all the characters in their little goat society haha Definitely a good trip !

Oh s*** this literally is awesome I didn't really grow up on a farm or anyting but I did grow up with chickens goats and cows because in Oregon it is rare but my parents had bunch of Acres behind the house when I was growing up
