Hello everyone, hope you find this guide helpful, what would you like to show next? I'm considering a cross-county VFR guide, involving the Cessna 152 but i'm open to suggestions!
Just started to try and fly the a320 thanks a bunch. A lot of other tutorials seem to skip over a bunch of stuff which make it hard to figure out. This has cleared some things up for me.
Great tutorial. It's been about 15 years since my last VATSIM flight. It'll be interesting to see how things go this time around. Cheers! Looking forward to the next video.
Your flying on VATSIM tutorial is OUT STINDING. Simple and helpful, encouraging beginners how have to do correct communication with ATC. My Preview is not 5* but SIX (6) * without any thoughts. Thank you.
You sir are a legend!! I've just started playing (even though mfs 24 is now out since it can't run on my internet) and your video is the best in terms of VATSIM and flying an A320N in general. The video flew by (no pun intended) and was so informative!
Love hearing the busy ATC. Reminds me of my Grandfather who was a controller (before Reagan fired them all) and absolutely loved "pushing planes around". He would have love this system.
Amazing tutorial after 5 days of watching this video and writing everything you reader back to ATC to expect what the ATC going to say, and know what I’m supposed to say step by step I filed about full 6pages+ with full details. Really appreciate the work I bet making the video took so long, and maybe not worth it for you.
The perfect tutorial! You've pointed out each button/switch including buttons that no one else has and you tell us at what point to do each thing. Extremely helpful :-)
Best and most complete tutorial for real flight with the A32NX and VATSIM. Glad I found this resource, well done. I really hope to see more content from you in the near future.
If I had any doubt on msfs 2020 vatsim I would know where to go. I have been looking for a proooooper tutorial on vatsim a32nx, and t the end you were my guy. Thanks so much lewis. NEW sub
The perfect tutorial! You've pointed out each button/switch including buttons that no one else has and you tell us at what point to do each thing. Extremely helpful :-) thanks from Saudi Arabia :)
Fantastic tutorial! The best I've seen with various situations to handle. The only thing is that you never properly vacated the runway in MAN, stopped on the wrong side of the hold short line. Now worries since no go-around resulted and ATC never noticed. Keep up the good work!
💯 best tutorial vatsim is so fun, I def gotta stick to this route/ similar routes with smaller airport while I’m new but just completed my first flight with your video!
Thanks for this tutorial! I learned so much about simbrief. Still have a ways to go with flying the Stars at appropriate altitude. Ill have to watch this great video a few times. Autobrake no longer deactivates via the brake peddles. I hope they fix this as its a pain pushing that tiny button everytime.
Cats improve so many things in life... What is new to me however, they even improve FS 2020 loading times! Excellent tip, will have to try the MSFS cat loading time improver!
Well done indeed! This is a quite brilliant and well paced tutorial. The best I have found - so clear and concise. You've packed a huge amount of detail, not just about Vatsim but the A320 operation which is also just about the best on YT. Congratulations. Subscribed.
I watch flight sim videos and ATC as a layperson for fun and yours was enjoyable to watch through. Thank you! I know nothing about piloting, but it seems you may have left your passengers locked in their seats after you went home (or to your hotel or next flight) because you never turned the seatbelt light off after stopping at the gate in Manchester. IRL, I would expect nobody would continue to obey a seatbelt light once the plane starts powering down IF they even still had a seatbelt on by the time the wheels stopped moving. Gotta get off that plane ASAP even if nobody is waiting for you!
Absolutely loved this tutorial i am currently learning my way around the fenix a320 combined with Fscrew.once i have mastered that hopefully next step Vatsim 😬
Aircraft on domestic routes in the UK are not restricted to FL190 or below. The Civil Aviation Rules of the Air Regulations (Regulation 34) refer to the quadrant and semi-circular rules whereby for flights below 19,500 feet fly in accordance with the quadrant rules, if above 19,000 feet fly in accordance with the semi-circular rule.
wow I really learned a lot ive been flying MSFS without knowing how to program the MCDU all the videos I watch are so boring but this video really taught me a lot
Great job. Thanks very much. FYI, I saw a video the other day with a future version of the FBW that included the Autoland, but I'm with you, I like to take over at minimum and hand land.
That’s good to hear - as i mentioned the FBW is updated almost every day with new features so chances are with the current rate of development this tutorial could become outdated quite quickly.
Just for extra info, MDA (minimum descent altitude) and DH (decision height) are found on the relevant approach charts and vary between airports, type of aircraft and type of approach flown. MDA is a hard horizontal stop under which one isn't allowed to drop if unable to land (you basically have to decide above that alt whether you'll be able to land) DH is the exact height over the ground where you decide if able and safe to land (i.e. you will drift slightly past that if you decide to go missed) About the icing on final, any temp below +10c with icing conditions present (for example flying through clouds!) is considered an icing hazard as aerodynamic cooling can cause the air/water flowing around the aircraft to drop below zero and form ice. Hope this was of use and interesting to someone here and not too much rambling... sorry, not sorry :D I love this stuff too much to not talk about it :D Awesome tutorial btw, very informative and I hope you make more! (at the very least some full flight vids if not tutorials!)
Fantastic Video , lots to learn. Thank you very much this is going to really help me. And when I'm in the air and over the speakers it asks : IS THERE A PILOT ON BOARD ? : I could jump up, lol thanks again best video I have seen - Paul x
Brilliant, thank you. I'm just starting out, was very interesting to see how it all flows for example how you are handed over to various controllers and how you accept it. I must say some of those ATC's talk very fast! I could not make out some of the frequencies they announced without the subtitles you put on!
Hi, amazing tutorial, really useful for both ATC Coms, and a320N operation knowledge. Thanks a lot for this video, now time to see how I do! Dropped a sub, watching a really useful 1 hour 22 minute tutorial without subbing should be illegal.
Wow; this was a great experience. 90% of it went right over my head since I am just starting to learn to fly. Bought myself the Gleim deluxe course for 100$ second hand. Couldn’t pass that. I’ll stick to small planes tutorials for the moment and learn slowly as I go; since it’s quite complicated to follow frequencies at the moment.
Great tutorial 👌 by the way MFS2020 has a setting for KG its called hybrid will give you the mix of metric and imperial all us uk aviators know and love.
Fantastic video, very well presented, i have learnt loads from this vid and subbed your channel i was struggling with how to input sids and stars (thankyou)
I tryed to do everything like you, i putted New Pilot in the Vpilot remark but i came at a busy time and ATC were so busy and talked so fast :( It's so hard but also more realistic, thanks for this amazing video !
No worries - I did my first VATSIM flight at Luton on a quiet evening and it was pretty nerve wracking!! Just keep practicing, and you’ll build your confidence quickly. Try sticking to quieter airports for your first few flights and gradually build your way up, that way you won’t find yourself overwhelmed by everything going on. Glad you enjoyed the video!
How often do VATSIM controllers clear you on Visual approaches? When they do, are you expected to intercept the downwind, or do they vector you for straight in ? Maybe a video on that would be very useful for us newbies! Thanks!
if i could reccomend; maybe an updated video for April with the addition of all the new features such as the printer and new self test modes, etc. awesome work!
Very nice landing at the end! Well done! I am getting ready soon here for my first Vatsim transmission and I am quite nervous haha. I have decent social skills but when it comes to something serious online with randoms like vatsim, eh yeah that is when I don't do too well. Anyways, thank you very much for the tutorial. Hopefully within a day or two here I will do my first full flight via Vatsim! One thing to point out for myself and for others, is that maybe you could have explained a little more about the Squawk Box/Transponder about the different modes and such and also IDENT. Very good tutorial though! Edit: One of my fears is not having all of the charts pulled up 😂
Hello everyone, hope you find this guide helpful, what would you like to show next? I'm considering a cross-county VFR guide, involving the Cessna 152 but i'm open to suggestions!
very nice! VFR would be great. Also a go around and fly to the alternate?
I would love the DA62 next
can you show us how you did your model matching please
Just started to try and fly the a320 thanks a bunch. A lot of other tutorials seem to skip over a bunch of stuff which make it hard to figure out. This has cleared some things up for me.
One on circuits would be nice
Best tutorial out here, this definitely deserves more views !
Thank you, appreciate it!

Exactly!

3 years later, you just made VATSIM so easy. You’re a hero!
Best VATSIM tutorial I’ve seen so far
Incredible and detailed guide. You did such an amazing job with this. A great tutorial for begginers and you deserve so much more recognition.

Excellent tutorial with high quality verbal and visual guidance. Jens

Been coming here every time i re install the sim also amazing video!
Very well done! Thanks for combining these 2 elements into one practical guide/tutorial.
Thanks! Glad you found this helpful
The perfect tutorial! You've pointed out each button/switch including buttons that no one else has and you tell us at what point to do each thing. Extremely helpful :-)
Well Done! The best tutorial for A32NX. This really helped me with the vatsim approach phase which I’ve been struggeling with.
Extremely informative. Been flying msfs for about 2 years. Learnt more about the A320 Neo and think im now ready to give Vatsim a try. Thanks
Best and most complete tutorial for real flight with the A32NX and VATSIM. Glad I found this resource, well done. I really hope to see more content from you in the near future.

Actually the best vatsim tutorial on YT. Could be more videos, I'd love to watch it.
Same
Thank you!! I plan to make more videos when I find some free time, what would you like to see covered next?
@@LewisAir1 I'd love to watch more advanced Vatsim flights. Like flying during event, when ATC put you in holds, flying radials and similar.
This guide make me operative at Vatsim in my Frist time!! Thank you. Really best tutorial
the BEST tutorial of vatsim in youtube
Great video totally engaging cant believe this is essentially a game. Well done
Really great video, preparing for VATSIM after years in the dark. Thank you so much!
Very good tutorial best I’ve seen 💯
Really good tutorial, although I don't fly on VATSIM too often, this just made me understand how the FBW A32NX works. Thanks!
I must say…I wouldn’t mind you being my PIC in a real A320! Well done! Learned quite a bit. Gracias!
Thank you Lewis, loved how you clearly explained each step along the way. And you made it look so easy too.
Great flight/tutorial! That was an excellent landing, BTW!
The perfect tutorial! You've pointed out each button/switch including buttons that no one else has and you tell us at what point to do each thing. Extremely helpful :-) thanks from Saudi Arabia :)

As a complete newbie to VATsim and MSFS in general, this is so detailed and I love it!! This is the guide i needed. Thank you
You deserve more recognition my man!
Best tutorial ever! Precise and concise.
Really great. One of the best vids i see for the a320 with vatsim on MSFS2020.
It was the mic test for me lmao, great work
The best Vatsim tutorial i've seen so far!
Excellnet video, thank you. I am OK with the A320 but getting ready to use VatSim/IVAO and this was the best video I have found on that.
💯 best tutorial vatsim is so fun, I def gotta stick to this route/ similar routes with smaller airport while I’m new but just completed my first flight with your video!
