Well you do know x started getting big late in his life, I believe he was 28 when it's dark and hell is hot came out so he only had about 6 years of prime from the first album hence why he put out all this albums back to back, well the first three, then when he came back with year of the dog again in 06 it was kinda to late, after retiring after grand champ, so x really didn't have that early start into stardum, I'm not surprised by the raspy voice, actually the song Given what they want started the raspy x in 06ish
I believe he regressed as an artist due to years of drug use in his 40's. His flow was not as good as it was in earlier years and his bars became rather basic with lyrics such as "I'm the fucking plague, I'm global warming I'm the Ebola virus," and "They call me the microwave `Cause I hit `em with hot shit, quick " Bars that doesn't even rhyme.
This one really feels like a family member died! He was one of the greatest at least in my book! Rest In Peace, Dog🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Can’t wait for the rest of new songs!
