    I wish you could have been my therapist, with the wisdom and knowledge that you have, when I was a teen, 50 years ago.

    This is so helpful. Just this morning I was having a discussion about how guilt is treated differently in AEDP and ISTDP. You referenced AP2, but I think AEDP would be the same.

    Thanks Patricia, it seems that shame about a specific act I engaged in, which I let myself down because I didn't live up to my principles is different than what a LGBT person might feel about themselves. Coming out in the 1970s (devout catholic male) felt like a blanket rejection of myself. But I will have to rethink the matter more carefully. Thanks for your videos, they really help me better understand myself and my affects or emotional life. In addition to being thoughtful and articulate you are a holder of wisdom (for me) and I appreciate you sharing your wisdom.
