Very interesting, thank you. I am building a replica of a Riley Brooklands so had heard the story that Parry-Thomas was involved with it of course. Interesting to hear he wasn't that involved. In learning all about the history I wish I knew more about Ken Thomson. All I ever hear is he was a NZer but it is hard to find much more about him. I know where he was born, that he met Parry-Thomas early on and became friends, lived in the Hermitage along with him (it must have been a big bungalow?), that he was married in the 30s, had children but that is about it. Would be interesting to know more.
Thank you for this. After my day spent setting rivets, this will be tonights viewing! I drove around what is left of the Brooklands circuit in 1996, at the invitation of Mr Roger Rammage, in my homemade 'Bellini Special' KSK 362, and I have had a love affair with this most atmospheric place ever since. Best wishes to you and all the ghosts there, from me (and all the mice in the workshop).
I just happened on this video today - fantastic!
