For those who wondering what they are singing about: The lyrics roughly goes like: There is the endless gobi, and there are saxauls, not only gems but also keeps the gobi warm. Somewhere there lives and sings my mother, she is a camel herder, the horde is prospered by her. I believe this song is the soundtrack of the documentary film "the weeping camel", in which a mother camel shunned it's baby camel (which really happens sometimes), and the baby camel wails. The herders then plays a ritual music with a Mongolian musical instrument named "horse headed fiddle" to the mother camel. The camel whines (this really happens too!) and accepts it's baby, as you can see in the video. How the music touches and why the camel reacts to it like that is unknown (to me). There you have it, now you can understand the music a little bit better i hope. If you wonder, why it sings that the mother lives "somewhere", the gobi is one of the harshest landscapes on earth, people who live there must move from one location to another depending on the season. The mother lives in the gobi and the kids apparently live somewhere else and memorizing their mother's lifestyle in their song.

It descends from wolves, the eternal blue sky, and the white moon..

human beauty still exists on this planet... It is rare, but this is an example.
It's so beautiful. I believe the music is celebrating the Mongols' love to the vasty land, to the people who love everything in this land like camels, horses, the sand , the wind, the plants, the air, and of cause the music that comes from your heart.
The little kid playing with the baby goat reminded me of my nephews when they were small.

Always be proud of your deep rooted ancestry for it reveals to us all how much more and exotic we truly are as we are in ourselves and our mystic interconnectedness as we are woven into one, as human beings, 🙏 namaste.

I’m fortunate to have been able to visit Mongolia! I’ve loved the music and the throat singing for years. I was fortunate enough also to buy a Horse Fiddle. I’d love to return.

Beautiful. This shows how closely as humans we are connected in this world.
It does? How so?

It’s amazing that music made by a people in the middle of the gobi desert managed to unite the people of earth through music. Diversity focuses on what makes us different, on what divides us, but we need to focus on things that truly strike us at our core as human beings and find what truly connects us
I met an older woman who was a refugee from Turkmenistan, which is in this general area. She said that the thing that she missed the most was riding horses and camels. When attending a pool aerobics class at the YMCA, she said that she was imagining that she was riding horses and camels.
What a nice woman and thank you for your giving informations :)
