Such an iconic episode! Favorite part was definitely Kakyoin saving the day and Jotaro giving Dan the chance to run away, followed by the beat down which was 3 pages long in the manga.
I think Demon Slayer's breathing techniques were heavily inspired by Hamon/the Ripple

It's always a pleasure to see Jotaro beating the shit outta Steely Dan

Not a huge fan of Part 3
But Jotaro vs Steely Dan has one of my favorite beatdowns in the entire series.
Yeah, anime time really is weird. It's almost like they hold entire monologues in the span of five seconds.
Seems like you really hate Steely Dan, huh? (I think everyone does lmao). I bet you'll hate a vanilla and an ice equally as him later in the series.

I'm not a fan of Jotaro.
But heck seeing Steely Dan get his ass handed to him at the end of this episode is always a joy. He's just one of those characters that you can't even like hating (Like Dio), he's just a complete scumbag with no redeeming qualities.

Hi there.
Addressing the anime time monent in the beginning, it's not that bad, actually makes sense for switching perspectives. There were worse. But I love these moments, the most notorious I think was Jonathan and Dio falling from like ten meters for solid five minutes back in episode 3. It was amazing.
3 page ora is one of the most satisfying moments in SC hands down. This ending is just unapologetically over the top badass, chef's kiss. The actual fight I don't like that much, but I treasure every second of Kakyoin's screen time, so I won't complain a lot. And almost quoting Sun Tzu was awesome. If you know yourself, but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat - correct me if it's not the original. Loved the scene of Lovers showing off its clones, genuinely creepy. And I can't come up with a good Army of Lovers joke, sorry, didn't listen to any of their songs, too young and stupid for that. Use of hamon was good, it's great to see that such big things are not left out in the universe. I don't like it as a battle system, too rule-bendy and creativity-limiting, but there is some nostalgia about it. Overall, Lovers is a solid 9/10 mid SC arc.
Something interesting I have to mention is a common trait I noticed between all jojos, and I'm definitely not the first. It's their ability to put absolute trust in people. The biggest was Jonathan and William with him trusting his mentor's every word, than we had the developing trust between Joseph, Lisa Lisa and Caesar, even though it's not particularly in his character, and now we get Jotaro putting his and his grandfather's life in friends' hands, because he knows they won't let him down. Don't wanna spoil, but there are some amazing examples in parts 5 and 6. I just find interesting that despite how different they are, you can still see them sharing the same spirit. Stay hydrated, king 💜
