Los Cabos Drumsticks Review - The Good And The Bad

In this episode, I'm reviewing 6 pairs of sticks from Los Cabos Drumsticks. These are "white hickory" sticks, all 5a.
In this music gear review, I discuss how these sticks different from what you may be used to with Vic Firth or Vater. I'll do some close up video of them rolling on a table so you can see if the sticks are cut strait, and will play some samples so you can hear how they sound.

Cool thanks for the video. I was thinking about buying some of these because of the diameter now im thinking again. Those looked awful

Was thinking about picking up a brick of these, but now I am second guessing. Have you done one of these comparisons with a company like Vic Firth? It would be interesting to see how often sticks warp in general to see how these really compare.

I have not done Vic Firth yet, but I have done Promark. Promark seemed significantly better to me: ruclips.net/video/YnMSZBQ9tiA/видео.html

Interesting, I've definitely had better luck. Out of curiosity, how many hours do you think you got?

Thanks for reviewing these sticks. Now I know not to purchase any of these. I dislike 5a sticks that should be called 5b and the bowing on them is rediculous. I'll definitely stick with Promark and Vic Firths

I just bought 12 pair of LCD Red Intense and one of all pairs are so bent I think they could break at any moment :/, Truly regret buying them. I bought some Wincent also and they are all perfect, And the tone is ... holy God so good. The tone in los LCD seems to be fine but they really need to get those drumsticks straight. Never seen that problem with Vic Firth, Promark, Vater, Meinl, Zildjian or Even Stagg / Goodwood. The only other company where I've seen this problem is Collision Drumsticks.

I hear you. I'm not crazy about the quality on the goodwood sticks, but at least you know they are supposed to be grade B sticks - and they are still better than the Los Cabos.

@@drumdrumdrum the "red label" goodwood are truly awful but the New ones with Black label are a lot lot lot better
