The reason NOT to store honey in metal containers is that it can oxidize the honey and the honey can change flavor and take on a metalic taste. Only store honey in sealed containers like glass or plastic jars with a sealed lid that are approved for food storage, some companies sell honey jars made for storing and selling honey.

22:46 I’m sorry if I missed your reply to my question about this in an earlier video. You mentioned putting the pins in the bottom of the bee smart robber screens to act as a mouse guard. Do you have a picture you could share on how to do that?

I have solar panels for the house and it has made a HUGE difference on the monthly bill. Unfortunately the inverter we have, I do not think, will allow for backfeeding to batteries so if we want to do a battery bank I may have to change out inverters...

Can a hive survive if the hive has only honey? Recently received a hive that hasn’t had anything done to it since it was a nucleus hive. When I opened it up it was honey bound in the deep and honey super. The bottom box does not have a lot of resources. I have been feeding and plan to insulate the top and put a candy board on. Also treated v.mites. Any thoughts or advice?

That's exactly what bees would do naturally in the wild is live off of Just honey so yes if they have enough to get through the winter they can survive off that

Just had aerial mosquito spraying here in southeastern NC. Opened my hive up and all the bees were dead. Heard several others here lost bees also.
