- Take a look at how the axolotl fry are growing. I had to build a temporary rack to hold all of them. I'm struggling to keep them all fed, it's crazy how much they eat, my brine shrimp aren't hatching fast enough to keep up!

In the summertime u can raise mosquito larvae it works varry well for me and its free!
Micro worms + decapsulated brine shrimp eggs worked well for me when I couldn't get hatching eggs the micro worms make it look like the decap eggs are moving and daphnia is fantastic too my new hatchlings are on daphnia and only have brine shrimp once or twice a week and have easily doubled in size in the past week
You could try using frozen bbs if you're struggling, as long as you make the food move so they can see it they will eat it
Oh my lord that’s a lot of axolotls babies. Good kick getting rid of them Al wow !
hey, i know its been years, but i wonder how do you separate them? since i heard you need to separate them individually or they will eat eachother's limbs once they grow their front legs , i couldnt find any information about that anywhere. so i wonder if u separate them individually or just by size ? ( if by size , do any of them really ate eachother's limbs or gills?) thanks !
@@irfanrifaie7745 you can put each one in a deli cup, or keep them together and feed 3-5 times a day so they are always full.
They grew fast. And looks hard to breed this many. You can use small cups or bowls for them. But It's actually a part of breeding. You learn the basic care and technicks. You can just figure what may like to eat them. Or if they have hallucinogenic medical uses. I'd probabbly just have them as a pet to enjoy an aquarium hobby. Since they seem good specimens, that are alive , from seeing your videos.
Your ceiling fan attacked me
Daphnia... and I would say they are almost to the point of black worms - you should be able to cut them up and use them.. If you were closer, I would offer to take some off your hands and raise... I've got the room for them (I breed/raise axolotls too)... if you keep them well fed, they wont 'munch' on tank mates... but I hope you have more of those totes around... because once they hit a month old, 1 to 1.5 inches, I would reduce the amount per bin to 50 max... then once they hit 2.5, reduce to 25 max per bin...
good tips, thanks!
That's really cool . I might get a few of those bins for a future project. . I've always want to try this but I'm not sure the weather here would be ideal . I would definitely have to do it indoors.
Happy babies!!!! 👍☑
Imagine I get pinned
Cute
Do you have a small amount of land for a small pond?

Hey greg. I would love to give some of your babys a new forever home. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you lola
Lola Norris if you can pick up in MA you can have as many as you can handle! Can't ship them this young
egg yoke. cooked of course.
Great video! Thank you so much for sharing!!
You certainly have your hands ful ll those mouths to feed. Hopefully you'll bring some to the PVAS and I'll see if i can't take a couple off your hands.
Did they survive?
Yes I raised them to juvenile-subadult size and sold them, probably around 300-500?
@gregjonesonline sorry. It wasn't a dig. I was just wondering as I couldn't find any videos on that. Mine aren't thriving but they still alive but barely grown at nearly a month. Feeding live daphnia. And they seem happy but just not growing.
Have you ever tried Golden Pearls from Kensfish.com?
I would do a arrey of acrylic. Engineer' to grow all of them
Shame your too far away or would take some off your hands..
how to breed this fish??
How old do they have to be before you can ship? I've watched all your videos and i'm so interested. I was introduced to Axolotls last weekend at a Reptile Expo and haven't stopped wanting some of my own since. I'd be interested if/when you can ship. Maybe overnight shipping? I live in KY so at least I'm not on the other side of the US.
Dewayne Johnson it may be easier to send you a batch of eggs, send me an email on Gmail: gregjonesonline
Greg Jones email sent. Thanks for the reply!
use micro worms and bloodworms
Is their another way to contact
So cool! I'll take 3. What about air ? And tap water treatment. Do they eat algae , and set up a test bin with hamburger, raw, and snails. And of course scrub guppies fri.
Can you create biweekly updates?
I'm excited
THX KC 👍
KCHstudio Phx no air needed, surface area ratio is very high, new water is run through a 3 stage carbon block filter, pickup in MA
They are carnivorous no algae there are tons of videos on what they can eat and tons of care videos
They don't eat snails,meat
How do i message you
Cuties
Do you have any babies for sale?
sorry, gave them all away, including the adults
You are going to run out of space soon when they are adult size
Zerobot there's plenty of time to get everything sorted though it takes 3 months for them to reach even 3 inches
I will be giving them all homes before then
What's crazy,is that an Axolotl is a Tiger Salamander. IDC What anybody says. I've raised them both. What I think is crazy is that i bet you could adapt an Eastern U.S. Axolotl to your area (was thinking about doing it in Florida, despite what scary ass haters would say)
Sweet wish I had the money for one of these
