I personally find them using an actual male bodybuilder to play the Hulk much more convincing and impressive than the CGI verson of the Marvel films. When Lou as the Hulk performs feats of strength, you can see all his muscles flexing and can almost feel the release of pure power. While the CGI Hulk version is supposedly bigger and stronger than Lou's Hulk was portrayed in the series, you dont get the same feeling of pure power and strength as you do with Lou in this show.
Hulk being pulled by the horses was hilarious! He ROCKS! I will always love the Hulk.

Thank you. Man old Lou got in better shape in Season 3 for sure. He was ripped like early season 1 but maybe more defined.
Lou spoke of doing all his own stunts and effects on the show. I used to think he was actually pulling those guys, but he's not. At 4:00 you can see the pull line in the water, and Lou jumps over it.
What is Lou Ferrigno up to these days? I wonder what was his favorite moments of portraying The Incredible Hulk?

That’s what I was thinking; I saw that tow line. When you watch the Kenneth Johnson interview, he’d open your eyes to some errors in the production (things that somehow became obvious on camera that shouldn’t). Those things made it all even more interesting. That interview, by the way, is one of the bonus features that came with an Incredible Hulk video that I bought few years ago.
The most fun Lou had all day during a day of shooting.

Still one of my favorite Hulk appearances -- Hulk doing to the bad guys what they were doing to Banner is always a delicious moment -- and the scene at the end was classic. The look on Hulk's face as the hitchhiker runs like hell just screams "What just happened here?!"

Man for poor David getting dragged through the water like that while he was changing gives a whole new meaning to the term 'Change on the move' doesn't it and that part where the Hulk was now dragging those 2 guys the same way they were dragging him was freaking hilarious.
That is a young Fred Ward! I could hardly recognize him! The guy has been in a ton of movies and TV shows since the 70's. I remember him most from the first couple of "Tremors" movies. I always thought that guy had kind of a rugged "Charles Bronson" look about him.
Sadly he just recently passed on if you didn't know. 😔

One of the best episodes of the Hulk, David's encounter with a rodeo scam and battling rodeo thieves as in this scene was vintage classical Hulk drama that the hall of fame scifi director giant Kenneth johnson created!!!

Classic episode and vintage Hulk drama in this scene! These 2 rodeo heavies trying to scare David off made for one of the many finest intense moments in this forever legendary series!!! R.I.P Fred ward who just recently passed,who also showed great versatility in his career. As he showed in this episode playing one of the ruthless cowboy heavies and playing a straight hero in the all-time classic action spectacular Remo Williams:the adventure begins!!!

I read an article once where Lou Ferrigno said that this particular Hulk Out was great to film because he like that the Hulk gave the bad guys a taste of their own medicine!😁😁😁 Side note: Lou looks so huge and buff in this episode! Dang Lou!

Lou looks like he got a great pump before he filmed this scene. He looks huge and you can see the striations in his pectoral muscles when the hulk does his usual most muscular flexes after pulling the two bad guys onto the shore. The scene with the hitchhiker was one of the best comedic scenes from the show. Lou had the perfect look of confusion on his face as the hulk couldn't figure out why everyone was running away. It would have been amazing if the hulk figured out that the hitchhiker wanted to go in the truck, so he picked him up with one arm and threw him into the back of the truck as it sped away.

Another one of the few episodes that you don't see the transformation like the ripping of his shirts and pants, you only hear the sound when he transforms.
Banner was a fool. Doesn't he realize how many ass kickings the Hulk has saved him from. Why would he want to get rid of him?

I always thought the Hulk show completely realistic, and true to life. But now it’s spoiled: NO WAY Remo Williams OR Gus Grissom would EVER bring any harm to ANYBODY (as to Remo Willliams- nobody who didn’t deserve it, that is).
