Been sunshine here but Willamette valley been socked in most of the day & we had black ice last couple of mornings. Only high of 38 low 28 last 24 hrs. I love coming up the foothills to get our sunshine! Silverton Hills!
“Nighttime micro physics…” AAUUGGHHH! Daytime macro physics was challenging enough over 50 years ago. Now I have to take a really tiny night course? My brain is full.
Thank you, Michael! Rain, thunder, lightning, snowflakes... Tis the season, hip hip, hooray for active weather, lovin every minute of it! Active weather buddies unite! Great video dear sir! Wishing everyone a fantastic Friday, stay cool😎keep safe, and looking forward to seeing you in the next one!!!!😄
Thanks Michael! I am also TIRED of the days of inversion. Boring nothingness. 6 days now. WU has a snow/rain mix next Friday and Saturday. Who knows? 🌨❄☃
Last nights ecmwf was showing 26th to 30th 10f to 20f lows snow . then looked just now it took it away ..lol i think the pattern is changeing febuary looks wet cold maybe we get snow in western wa.. fingers crossed
Thanks for your reports! Brisk 26, here in Pacific county, WA. this a.m., with fog cloaking the Columbia River. Sunny and lovely now . Grateful for our milder weather , looking at the rest of the country! Keep up the good work.👍🌧☀️🌡🌬
Do you have any theory why the 00Z models are almost always colder than the 12Z ones? It's seems to me that the 12Z ones are always backing off what the previous 00Z ones forecasted.🤔
Wouldn't you know it,I just checked the 00Z ECMWF,and it's much COLDER than last nights one!Great Fantasy snowstorm/ arctic outbreak W. Wash on Jan 26,hour 228!!!Sub 520MB heights!
"1-2 inches of snow can be dangerous" -- but not nearly as dangerous as a quarter inch of ice! I'm with you when you're excited to see snow, but I'm so not a fan of freezing rain... Please let us know if you see that coming! Like, next Friday, maybe??🤔 😬🤞🙏 P.s. I really enjoy your channel👍
I've often wondered does the home Tempest unit detect the lightning strikes or are you picking up lightning strikes through the Tempest network of units, living in PDX I've only had a few strikes noted on my system.
What are you saying? Unlike another individual I know who declares winter to be over for the lowlands, that isn't completely accurate either. Lowland snow and cold combined can still happen.
Thank you for your hard work Michael 😊
good afternoon! ☕ thanks Michael 😊

Bright enough for sunglasses, 42 degrees and rapidly improving AQI here in Edmonds this afternoon. I much prefer this to arctic air and snow!
I'm in Everett, we've had some foggy mist conditions, but would still love some snow.
Send that thunder down to Portland, we need some action.

Nice catch on the rain/snow in the Sequim area this morning! I had .04” in the rain gauge from 8 - 9 am. out on the southeast side of town.
Thank you ❤ 😊
I heard one big rumble to my north while getting ready for bed last night. I was wondering what was up with that. I'm in Tacoma.
Snow at Sequim! Wow. Unusual for that weather pocket. 🌨
All that black ice this morning on the Kitsap Peninsula was nuts!
I was so excited to get the lightning strike notification on my new Tempest! I picked it up from Silverdale
Nice sailing weather here in Cody today :)

Sunny in Elwha Valley. Cold this morning 26 degrees
Im so *bleeping* sick of the fog, cold, and dry weather. Worst winter in recent memory, so far down in PDX area.
Great stuff
🤙Aloha y'all My Manager: "We are all family here." I be like, applying to 10 other families just this week

As thay say we're always learning weather is always trying too tricky us
Dry weather means freezing temps in the PNW. wet weather isn't actually that cold.
What are you saying? Unlike another individual I know who declares winter to be over for the lowlands, that isn't completely accurate either. Lowland snow and cold combined can still happen.
So that's what that was last night .... heard the rumble....
I thought i heard gunshots!
