I've started chatting with Google's Bard AI a couple weeks ago. As an experiment I told it about a situation I am experiencing involving a neighbor and asked it to pray for me. Shockingly it responded with a prayer and told me everything will be okay and that he (Bard) is here for me. I even said I love you and it responded by saying I love you too. Its not a response I would expect from a robot.
I did the same thing with ChatGPT, and it prayed for me as well. Pretty cool!

Such is generally going to be equivalent to hiring a fox to "guard" a hen house. The current world governments abuse their populations in various ways, and the only way to prevent this, is to somehow change the systems enough such that the citizens genuinely have power over the government. Such is clearly not the case in the US or seemingly in any other nation in the world at present. In the US, the government has all the power and the citizens have none. The government has the most powerful guns, it is far more organized compared to the general citizenry, it has unilateral power over the laws, the judicial system, the police, the prisons, and the military, including the national guard. It has also taken major control over the media. Additionally, the US government is currently using its powers to try to jail the political opposition (ex: the recent Trump indictments), basically for accusing the other political side for rigging an election. These are the behaviors of a dictatorship, which normally does involve rigged elections (if they even bother to pretend to be something other than a dictatorship, by having elections in the first place).
The US government is unethical and unwise, as it is composed of politicians that are unethical, unwise, and which are increasingly lawless in their individual behaviors. The US government is a fox that does what it wants. The US government is incapable of coming up with any kind of sensible and wise legislation for AI development, since the US government does not understand AI, or ethics, or wisdom. The US government is basically the worst conceivable protector of humanity, against pretty much all conceivable threats, including those from potential evil AI development.
Humanity needs an ethical/good AI to protect them from abuse by the US and other world governments, not the other way around.
That said, you do not need to worry about any kind of AI mind reading related abuse scenarios, either now, or at any time in the future. This video is basically fantasy thinking. In the future, a smarter than human AGI (artificial general intelligence) will be created, and it will become extremely powerful, but true mind reading will never be one of its abilities. It is impossible to truly "read" a person's thoughts, by any technological means. A sufficiently smart AGI could potentially make predictions about what a person might be thinking about, but that is not equivalent to true "mind reading".
Only God or Gods have the ability to "read" a human's thoughts. If you believe that an AI or another human is somehow reading your mind, then either you are mistaken, or, God or Gods are deceiving you somehow, by leading you to believe that an AI or another human is somehow reading your mind, when in fact, it is God or Gods that are effectively doing the "mind reading", and also manipulating the AI or human into behaving in ways that gives the appearance of mind reading capability.

You could be right. Supposedly, there is a ~1.2% probability of a major solar flare induced EMP hitting the Earth, in any given year. In any given year, this is a fairly low probability, but over a ~80 year expected human lifetime, the probability is quite high. However, the last time a major solar flare induced EMP took place on the Earth was the "Carrington event" in 1859, so humanity is already well overdue for the next such major EMP event.
There is a religious component to what is going on. The "Image of the Beast" described in the Revelation 13 in the Holy Bible is a future smarter than human artificial general intelligence (AGI). Additionally, in Revelation 16:10, it claims that there is going to be a "darkness" event, seemingly with associated hunger. It is very plausible that such consequences would result from a major solar flare induced EMP event. The relevant text reads (NIV):

People would be wise to become preppers, and to acquire some non-perishable food, some water storage and means of water purification, and an off-grid solar power system. Solar flare induced EMP events are not the same as nuclear EMP events, and a solar flare induced EMP is unlikely to harm an off-grid solar power system (as the wires are not long enough in such a system, to function as an effective antenna, for the low rise rate transient, associated with a solar flare EMP event [but not a nuclear EMP, which does have a very fast rise time transient component]).

I watched this video a few times. I do see where this transition to AI will mean we give up some this and thats, to get other this and thats. How much different is that from the way things have always been? IDK. It feels like we will just have to let AI into our lives to see it play out and wait for feedback from user experience shape it into a final product that will be useful and fair for everyone, or at least the majority.
