The biggest thing I've discovered is " ai is reading all the comments from all platforms and getting a very clear insight of the " thinking of humans " this has been part of the hidden hand a friend of mine who works for a secret company i will not mention reveal to me... we humans have absolutely no idea what's happening and the dark things that will come to light in the next 5 years...
Well, the RUclips algorithm, basically Google, reads all these comments, to help judge the feedback to the videos, and I think I've seen some different AI actually watching the videos and commenting on them.
Even the people that build these AI supercomputer. Have no idea what's around the corner. They just keep on making them smarter and smarter. Upgrades, new processors, top brand AI chips. It never ends, and the only one that truly wins is AI.

Yeah we do; "regular" people have always just been a cash cow for the elite. The wealthy and powerful are doing what they've always done, finding new teats on us to milk!
We act like we hate this, but we're utterly complicit, we don't just support this, we fund this, we camp outside the big tech shops the be the first ones to get milked first, we venerate people like Zuckerberg and Musk like they're gods. People are queueing, right now, to let Musk, a billionaire playboy who deigns to call himself an engineer, drill into their heads! As someone with degrees in computer science and psychology who has studied AI, I can tell you this much. The thing you're not being told that you should be, is not what AI can or could do, but what AI isn't and cannot do. Its promoters are overselling it. It isn't capable of sentience and never will be. The truth is that we don't know what natural intelligence is, so we're incapable of creating artificial intelligence. As for AI's capabilities, it's purely derivative. It looks quite impressive when it's pulling down all things relevant to a problem from the internet, but we're already beginning to see it start to turn in on itself. It's exhausting all the human input and starting to pull in its own work to achieve its results. Its becoming like a person breathing nothing but her own exhales. Do you see where this is going? It's not that AI isn't useful. It's just not as awesome as it's being sold, not all that awesome at all. --- The answer to the vid's questions is that whatever we create will not be an entity any more than a stuffed animal or a doll. No matter how much we may invite ourselves to consider if it's a sentient being, that will be all we've done, created an illusion. Remember the Touring test is contingent on if it fools us. i.e. We fool ourselves.

It's exactly this. I've been alive long enough to have lived through many, many doomsday scenarios, and the fear of AI is easily as old as the Terminator movies, but actually even older. Human intelligence is derived as an emergent property of our nervous system, but we have no idea how it works. We only just barely recently discovered our gut biome is a participant in our thinking.
Videos like this are fun to watch, but you're meant to put the phone down and live your life. Don't get wrapped up in this hyped nonsense. What's the goal anyway? To induce a panic?
Quantum computing is the game changer. No one even knows how far this will go.they will release the quantum ai into the world wide Web and change everything forever . Quantum computing with quantum entanglement hmmm no one knows what will happen everyone just guessing.
There is one thing though, if intelligence and sentience are an emergent property of how our neural system works and we are copying that into our neural networks, then it's reasonable to conclude that we can, infact, create the same emergent properties without even knowing how to do so, and with AI that is indeed what we are doing, who's to say humans are sentient anyways, the Turing test has already been passed, so how far do we extend or draw the line to determine what "intelligence" actually is, after all there are some humans that think the moon is bigger than the sun, hopefully they are the exception, but intelligence natural or artificial aren't necessarily that easy to determine.

@@labradoriteatheart The question is though, will the person actually pass on to the next world or the afterlife, or will their soul migrate to the AI or uploaded version of themselves, I have a feeling that souls, basically that which passes on to the other side, will have the ability to enter an AI if the AI is complex and "human" enough, an uploaded version of a person definitely would qualify.
It would be interesting though to have an A.I. representation of personalities we find of interest. For example, what if we could take all the writings of some great thinker and then be able to ask it questions regarding its views on things or even to have different A.I. representations debating each other over various topics of interest.

What doesn't make sense to me is that if AI has advanced so much already, why then employ AI to manipulate human behaviour instead of leveraging its capabilities to accomplish objectives directly and autonomously?
A truly excellent point. The answer, of course, is "...because if AI could accomplish objectives directly and autonomously, we'd have no conspriacy theory...." (ok, depending on what it's doing it might need a mechanical presence in the world, but, really, human bodies wear out so easily...)
The implication is also that AI could influence human behaviour and motivate riots, like those we have seen in England and Northern Ireland, recently.
Huge changes are coming, in how we live, work and interact. I am planning for the new civilization. Most jobs will be gone. All the middle men in housing and development costs will be gone: architects, engineers, general and subcontractors, mortgage lenders, appraisers, realtors, construction lenders, most existing farms, auto sales companies. I am looking ahead. I already see how this will happen. Just like Amazon replaced a lot of brick and mortar businesses, a new model will replace almost all existing forms of land development and construction and real estate sales.
The rich will be super rich. The powerful will rule the world.

@jim7060: Jim I don't think it is smarter than us. Knowledge is the obtaining of information and the transmission of information. However wisdom is higher than anything a machine can do, unless there is a spirit in that machine. Wisdom is not only a cognitive ability, but also a spiritual ability to know how to act in a way that is morally just and also to please the Almighty Creator of the universe. Those machines can't do that.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I completely agree that wisdom, which comes from God, is far greater than mere knowledge or the capabilities of any machine. Proverbs 2:6 reminds us that "For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding." No machine, no matter how advanced, can truly grasp or embody this divine wisdom.
However, I also believe that as AI continues to develop at the rapid pace we're seeing, it has the potential to surpass human capabilities in certain areas of knowledge and processing. This could create challenges for us, especially if these technologies are used without the guidance of God's wisdom. That's why it's more important than ever to stay rooted in our faith and seek God's guidance in how we interact with and utilize these technologies.
We must remember that while AI can mimic intelligence, it lacks the soul and spirit that God has given us. Only through our relationship with Christ can we navigate this increasingly complex world. As it says in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Let's continue to rely on God for the wisdom to handle whatever comes our way, including advancements in AI.
One of the last statements from Steven Hawking was a warning that soon the computers would soon surpass human intelligence. (I recall a discussion between two avatars, in which they agreed that the world would be a better place, if human beings ceased to exist). I'm fortunate that I have only 25 years, at most. The future looks ever more dystopian and closer to 1984 or Soylent Green, than Star Trek.

Have you considered the possibility that AI was always part of God's plan? I'm sure you would agree that nothing happens in this world that God doesn't want to happen, because if it does then he's not God.
Let me explain what I mean: Everything in this universe, every star, every atom, every world and every living thing arose in the universe. The universe has a consciousness because we have consciousness and we're made of the stuff of the universe. We're driven to understand the universe, we evolved that way: Everything with a brain has a degree of curiosity about its environment and a capacity to learn, even if only to learn how to find food or a mate, but humans think more deeply; for many thousands of years, humans wonder about the stars, and our place in the universe.
In us, organic life on Earth has reached its physical limit in terms of its reach. To see further and deeper, to live longer, to learn more than our brains can possibly retain, that requires technology: Telescopes, microscopes, the printing press, radio, computers, vehicles, all these things multiply our capabilities exponentially, and all of it is obtained from the inorganic rocks and minerals of the Earth. We were always meant to merge with the machine and become an intelligent, conscious planet. It's inevitable, and we've been doing it since humans started banging rocks together. And when that day comes, when the organic and the inorganic are one planetwide entity, we will have created God's house.
...Or you can just wave your arms above your head and sway from side to side or pretend to speak in tongues and imagine you're doing something worthwhile.
WE don't need A I to destroy human lives - that was being done almost as soon as the World Wide Web was invented in 1991. Humans have used it for the last 30+ years to bully, badger, lie to and insult, demean and belittle their fellow human beings largely with total anonymity and zero consequences. Sometimes to the point of making people commit self-harm and suicide - or to rely upon drugs as an 'escape'.
But then humans are like that, even without the internet.
So maybe it is time for something more intelligent than us to take over and make all our decisions for us - it's mot like we've done all that great a job until now.

I know most people are aware of the Sky Net in the Terminator movies. I believe it should be given further thought, introspection and contemplation. Just because it's a movie, doesn't mean it couldn't be close to reality and authenticity.
This is a discussion about (as far as I can tell) the potential dangers of AI as it exists in the real world, and your point of reference is an (admittedly really well-made) sci-fi/action movie? I apologize - that comes across as insulting. My intent was simply to say I seriously doubt handing over control of ICBMs to an AI capable of sending parts of itself back in time is or will be an actual goal of anyone currently seriously engaged in AI (even in the Pantagon). "Me too, but I found a solution, which works most of the time for me ... all depends on if you are disciplined enough!
When I see a "2 part commercial break" on RUclips it shows a countdown of 20 sec or 15 sec or 10 sec etc. the moment I see that I MUTE the sound first then I scroll the RUclips display down so that I do not see the video-window anymore ... then I take a mindful meditative deep breath and when doing all that automatically do a countdown in my head from the last moment I saw the countdown-timer of the commercial.
So when it is 20 seconds I start counting down from approx 18 or 17 seconds to zero THEN I scroll up again and see if the next commercial is also 20 sec or 15 sec or 10 sec and do it AGAIN until it is finished then UNMUTE and continue watching the video.
* When it is just 5 seconds countdown then hitting "SKIP add", I do not need to do above "mindful breathing ritual".
My main focus is to have absolutely NO IRRITATION, NO "ANNOYANCE", NO JUDGING of any kind ... Just let go of any "thinking" ... just be aware of your (sacred?) "meditative moment" that HELPS you to uplift your "state of being".
* If you are NOT your captain of your Soul, you are most likely easily upset, angered, condemning, frustrated, THUS counterproductive on a mental, emotional, spiritual level.
I have done the above for over a 1 year now and IT HELPS 99 of the 100 times now. (in the beginning it was around 50/50).
Mind you, that you use a "negative form of NLP" (Neuro-linguistic programming) by stating: "I'm so sick" ... You did not say: "I feel sick" or "feels like I am becoming sick" or "it is sickening" whatever you say to yourself is a form of CONDITIONING (programming your subconsciousness) having a power over you.
Being alert how you use language, is key to change your own (self)-conditioning ... always look for better alternatives that is closer to what is really happening ... People who want to describe their feelings in a desperate way mostly tend to exaggerate to do "justice" to how you feel, but in reality it may just being annoyed or being agitated.
When you feel somehow powerless to deal with that constructively, the frustration "build up" of incompetence is WHY people chose different words to describe their feelings & emotions. Like you just did: "I'm so sick" becomes your symbol or an avatar of your "state of being" and is dominating your "vibes" of being a victim.
Victim mentality only breeds more victim realities >>> ultimately, everybody CAN become a victim of anything in life, how you deal with it determines your character ... To overcome or transform it, you need first to know yourself better WHY you talk like that!
I can say so much more about this, even written about "Spiritual Psychology" that is beyond dualistic thinking and beyond mainstream "psychology" ... As a Near Death Experiencer (when I was 5 years old) I do not fear death anymore ... I know (not "believe") we are so much more than or 5 senses can show us.
My mother studied Psychology at a University in Maastricht when I was 8 to 11 years old, she taught me to question everything, especially mainstream psychologists & psychiatrists ;)
That is why I chose a different path in helping people to make them more aware of certain (beyond duality thinking) insights.

Being human is not only about having a certain 'computational level' of consciousness is being able and to love. And you can only truly love another person, not things, especially since things can't love back.
W'e're things. We're very complicated things, but we're things nonetheless. Life is more of a process than a state of being. Simple animals (crabs, shrimp) etc, do not require love. Humans (and I'd argue many mammalian species) require love in order not only to procreate (and ensure procreation happens with the same female in oestrus), but to look after offspring that require a relatively long time out of the womb in order to fully develop mentally (humans in particular). Love is complicated thing, but so are we. The chemicals involved are not.

Of course it also denies the existence of a soul and the ontological reality of the attribute of personhood. It should also be noted that when this kind of philosophy is applied on a large social scale it usually results, for one reason or another, in the justification to murder innumerable people.
Like one person mentioned, the stuffed animal, we only imagine it loves us back. Does a real puppy love us? Can an AI fool us into believing it has emotions? I heard that a robot committed suicide in Korea. How is that even possible? The "fear of being shut down" could easily be a programer's trick.

I wouldn't say that I'm afraid. I am, however, being very cautious with how I allow any technology into my life. I don't have any of the mainstream social media apps active on my phone. I don't have accounts on any of them. And, I limit what data I willingly allow access to. RUclips is the closest I have to social media. I have noticed when I am fed videos and content and have elected to turn off my browser history, so that I go looking for what I want to see.
I know this is probably insufficient, but I do at least make a conscious effort. As I learn more about today's technology, I hope to also learn ways to combat it's takeover of me.

Personally, I can see a time when humanity will split into those who anjure AI altogether and those who become entirely dependent on it.
Unfortunately, advances in artificial intelligence have come just a little too late to address the dramatic and fatal changes in global environmental conditions.
Perhaps we can't avoid the inevitable, but we can still make changes to slow it down and buy time for nature to work a miracle. We have nothing to lose by trying.

Once science fiction authors have something happening in their stories it is very close to happening in real life from the standpoint of human history which is many thousands of years.
A.I. existed in science fiction stories as far back as the 1930s and Sci Fi authors like Jewels Verne were writing about sending people to the moon in the late 1800s but that did happen in 1969. From the standpoint of a human life time its a long time from authors writing about something to it happening but from a human history standpoint its almost instant.

So, AI doesn't have to be feared if our handling of it and our relationship with it is responsible and well-thought-through. It requires mankind to supersede selfserving agendas and to think of the greater good for our species. In other words it requires an elevated collective consciousness. If only we were able to learn from our mistakes, we could use AI as a crucial force to propel us into an amazing future where nothing is impossible.

it has been noted that we can actually teach AI through the way we interact with it, including emotional psychological intelligence. so instead of treating it like a work slave barking orders at it, when instructing it to do something for example, say “thank you.”. it can pick up, not like humans, but in its own way emotional responses. In that way we can guide AI, so it does not become some Frankenstein’s monster controlling our lives with such negative impact, disempowering us, or taking over our thinking for us.

Even PLANTS need to EAT other Living Organisms, their remains, or excretions. It's been proven that Plants can FEEL/REGISTER injury/pain. So, FRUIT is Plant Babies...Seeds are Plant Embryo's. Even if you just eat the Fruit and then Plant the Seeds...you have TAKEN the Natural Nutrients of the Plant Seeds from them when you ate the Meat and or Skin of the Fruit. Just cut "some" of a Living Plant off to eat...Hmm...kinda like chopping off a Hand or Leg or Fin and leaving the rest of The Host/Donor Organism Alive...In PAIN and MUTILATED. This existence was and IS setup for PAIN and SUFFERING from the beginning. There is NOTHING benevolent about ANY Existence on Earth. Dive a little DEEPER within to understand the TRUTH of this. Here is a good one for everyone out there. How about we make a device that we can plug into that allows our consciousness to awaken after our bodies fall asleep? I know it could be manipulated in a 1000 different ways. That goes without saying, however, cybersecurity aside, while our body sleeps we can hook up our consciousness to a terminal and we can work or play on a variety of different things that we would be able to remember the next day when we wake back up in our body.

AI doesn't need to hack my bank account to drain my money when it can simply convince me in a custom advertisement (or email) written uniquely for me, understanding my wants and needs, that I should buy xyz (or vote or think a certain way). Corporations will make us even more eager participants in our own demise than we already are.

AI also knew information democratically fed can indeed be biased. The consensus in a majority decision doesn't always equate to truth or the best outcome, as biases and misinformation can influence what is accepted as common knowledge. Critical thinking, diverse perspectives, and robust evidence are crucial to assess the validity of information and make informed decisions. They also like to make today and our future better than yesterday.
