I am at home experiencing this after a second retreat root canal. I have a lot of visible swelling in my gum area and cheek. I am so afraid, I am in bed with an ice pack. I had infection before my retreat root canal was started. Now I’m a mess. So afraid to return for more treatment as well. I hope time will take care of my problem too. Thanks for sharing the video.
Another great podcast Jaz. I went on a one day hands on course with Ammar Al-Hourani and he was fantastic and spoke highly of Sanj too 👌🏽
Hello Jaz. This was so informative. Can you please post a video on - Post and core
thank you YES we are well overdue an episode on posts!
Hi Sharon, please see a short note on post-core preps in my reply to another comment above.
Post-cores nowadays are quite simple and the design and prep not the same as for traditional metal posts.
Great video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 great topic as always
Can you do a topic about stress/ergonomics ? I have trouble with crowns especially on lower left, my hand shakes and I have to use my other hand to stabilize it
Great information 👍🏽
Loved your work on HBO 👍🏽

Fine 🥰
Thank you and Dr Bhanderi for amazing discussion. Something suddenly hit my mind when Sanj said "Don't leave canal empty and dry", what about between post prep and delivery sessions, should I put anything in the empty top part of the canal or temp is enough?
will message Sanj for the expert answer! For me, I have let it fill in with temporary cement (eg tempbond)
Hi there!
Great question!
I’m talking about before the complete RCT/RCF. After that, prep the post space (minimally by ONLY removing coronal gp leaving the natural canal space) and immediately fit a dentine-bonded composite post, and then a dual-cure composite core.
Hope this makes sense 🤓
@@sanjb1617 of course, endodontics aren't keen on cast posts (temporary posts are leak central)
In such case where we don't go to apex until we are finishing filing mid of canal. How to prevent canals getting block and maintaining the patency?? Do we need to recapitulate?? If yes how to before determining the working length??
Plenty of irrigation hypo +/- EDTA to flush out all debris as you crown-down/glide path towards FWL
