Aren't the first and third movements both played about 50 BPM below the tempo markings? Still sounds great but just wondering.

Indeed the tempi are slower than what's marked in the score. It's quite difficult to play what's written as accurate as possible at such high speeds.
Maybe it can be a joke like the fifth movement of Himemith's sonata
