    for the last question, if the ratio of hcl:co2 is 2:1, shouldn't the moles of hcl be 2.20 * 2 = 4.40 and not 2.20/2 = 1.10?

Yes, that’s a mistake. The number of moles of HCl should be 4.40 mol.
