child trafficking and black market organ harvesting and andrenochrome and keeping a young woman alive to birth another baby for horrific crimes.. We Know In America what has been going on.. Please educate your neighbors of this satanic agenda. And Pray for those missing children pray to God for a Miracle that they are returned home. And be aware of those in poverty that may act like it was a kidnapping but may have been a " sale". Head on a swivel! And educate the children what to be aware of also..ploys and what not. Safety First God Bless You.

since working on the local train station, I can not recommend hard case bags with rollers enough.. easy to cart around with you.. but also easy to stack and load etc..
With the red rocket.. rather than weld, get your brother in law to make some brackets that run either side of the upright frame that you can attach with a couple of bolts with nyloc nuts.. that way it wont break again You can also get some thick insertion rubber and jam that up where you places the rubber near the roof .jam that in the gaps and you will reduce a lot of the noise as well.
As Always, another great vlog always inspiring.

And also, I got two Level 8 suitcases and they are absolutely great products, sturdy, well-appointed inside and with super efficient wheels. I spent a month wandering all over Thailand and I loved using this suitcase. I don't know if your viewers will be interested, but if they are, then I can tell them without hesitation to go for it.

Great video I liked it a lot. Maybe get Damo's brother to modify the metal roof over the tray on the EV? I would leave it as metal over the drivers head but replace the metal roof over the tray with a good quality vinyl roof which wont be as noisy and when it rattles and shakes with the dirt roads there the vinyl has a bit of play in it which should stop a lot of the stress on any welds? That's scary news to hear about the kids being taken, hope they find those responsible soon? Take care guys. Edit: Another good thing about replacing the metal roof is that during the hot summer the vinyl roof wont radiate as much heat down on to the kids?

Thanks for sharing guys. Looks like everyone is flat out busy around your place.
Always something to do especially with animals of any kind.
I think the issue with the EV is maybe that it's perhaps designed more for city use instead of the bumpy pot holed country roads.
I wouldn't try rewelding, instead I would weld on a base plate and bolt the vertical piece to the horizontal rail as I think the weld would just fracture again.
Good luck with it . If it lasts a while all good mate but think the quad idea would be much better down the track

Back in 2001 i remember we traveled to my wifes home near Chanthaburi by the river and the village was all abuzz about Cambodians seen coming up the river and stealing anything they could. The EV's canopy/roof and braces are just not strong enough for how you guys use it. The braces should be tubular with extra horizontal pieces welded on for strength and stability as songthaews do. You know a local welder am sure. Thanks Y'all for another slice of Life in Rural Thailand

I purchased my level 8 several days before coming to Thailand. I like the luggage a lot although it was fairly expensive in the US. and I had to buy the little cases separate it did not come with it. still I like it and use it a lot inside Thailand.
moving to the provinces this year and building a house and thinking about that little EV that you have. it would be useful for sure. a quad with a trailer would be nice but probably fairly more expensive I would guess. maybe a better suspension system would help it's probably not meant to go over those rougher roads...
Damo had me chuckling about waking up early to clean her garden. when my girl asked me if I would live out Sisaket, she told me that it would be getting up in the morning and gardening...😂
interesting about the kidnappings... I plan on getting two German Shepherd puppies later this year. the kids will not be going around without escort.

Yes, if you watch videos of Chinese vloggers about life in Chinese cities you see many of these mini trucks in use. Most of them have no roofs on the loading bed so goods can be stacked up very high. There is another American vlogger who bought a mini EV truck online from China and imported it to the US. That is a 4-wheeler and it can lift up the bed so you can move soil or wood and easily unload it. He also modified this truck after some time with other springs but he was happy with it otherwise.

A lot of those little tuk tuks from china use drive motors and axles meant for golf carts so don't go too crazy with it. I know cars are expensive there but keep an eye out for 80-90s Suzuki Sierra. They're not much bigger than the tuk tuk and being body on chassis you can extend the back or cut it off for a tray. As long as it's mechanically good it'll last a long time and be able to go practically anywhere. Other option if it breaks is adding a car rear axle and bolting a bigger motor to it but you'll also need a bigger controller and battery pack. Lots of different options to look into if you go down that path

I like the EV, esp for the price. It’s does seem lightweight though, the rural setting/rough roads could be hard on it. My family has a quad and trailer at our cottage. I do like it. Maybe having both one day is a solution. Cheers from Canada!

  • @jameshunt2905
    @jameshunt2905 День назад

Ryan… for the price it would make sense and warrant a good look at the factors that are both present and especially those missing and what could be done about the potential issues with the EV tuktuk. For starters it looks that there is exactly zero suspension nor cushion of any kind for both the vehicle and for the riders. What you’re noticing now is perhaps what happens when something, as mentioned, designed to run around on flat floors and local level streets and now being used on country roads and farms IS most definitely going to have wear issues. I’d look at the suspension, tire cushion and all the connections from the ground up and perhaps discover what would be worth going through and beefing up. There is a lot that can be done and would certainly payoff relative to the life of the vehicle. Plus you’d get a much smoother and more comfortable ride. If you were to go and look at the quads and trailer set up and of coarse the cost or value points this is exactly what you’d discover what goes into off road specific vehicles and the cost of actual materials in design efforts to have something like that last for its intended uses would inform the reality of how different they are regardless of intended uses. It’s compared to buying an expensive posh car and expecting that because of the investment that it would perform in both big city poorly maintained road conditions and small rural and off road applications as well. This logic only applies when there is a big checking account to throw money at the issues s they come up… for the rest of us its planning and adapting and of coarse acquire the right tool for the right job so to speak.
From what is already in place, meaning the current vehicle it would make sense that there in Thailand to find some good gearheads and get them excited about what could be done with these wicked lil trikes! Knowing you’re a UK boy this wreaks of the strategies used on the days of old and what attentions the Mini’s received. They were never as good as when they started and certainly weren’t always what they are now! Those years between they had considerable upgrades by enthusiasts that were damned not to get full value out of them!

I skipped past your advertisement for the luggage. But, I have heard that all airlines have standardized the size of carry-on luggage and many bags are too large now days. If they are too large, they will be considered check-in bags and you might need to pay a fee, depending on the total weight you are checking in with the airlines. Right now, it is standardized among airlines, but not all airports and check-in desks are adhering to the new rules.
Airlines are now cracking down on cabin space. Not so long ago, an oversized bag could still pass by with a frown, but this is no longer the case. Almost every airline maintains strict guidelines regarding carry-on luggage size and measure-yes, they even measure this down to the wheels and handles.
Most US air carriers adhere to the standard of 22 x 14 x 9 inches. When going abroad, however, it gets complicated. European and Asian carriers tend to have strict limitations, averaging around 21.5 x 13.5 x 7.5 inches. Why? Because the planes are smaller, and the weight balance is given more importance.

@lifeinruralthailand a nice vlog of your family doing household chores.
I'm regards to your EV, I'm a long, long way from knowledgeable in my opinion, but I think that the way that frame is welded, it's nowhere near strong enough for your use, it doesn't seem suitable for anything but smooth, concrete or bitumin roads. Of course, I don't know when you recorded this video & whether you've fixed the problem, but this is my suggestion:get it re-welded, but also, if you can, add a metal plate, a few inches long and roughly the same width as the frame, secure it with a couple of bolts with nuts, then get those welded on so they don't come loose with vibrations. Just a thought from someone who has virtually no skills in this type of thing.

That weld on the EV should not have broken so easily - a sign of poor construction & lack of quality control. If there is one cold weld, there are likely to be others. If you have a trusted metal worker in the area, ask him to take a look at all of the welds on the EV.
If you do replace the EV, consider opting for a pedal-powered vehicle, such as a pedicab, to haul stuff around the farm and to make the short trips to the market/shops. Replace the street tires with mountain bike tires, and perhaps re-gear the drive train to provide more torque/load at slower speeds - and good to go. Any bicycle mechanic can easily make these changes and should be cheap to do so. It will be slower with less ability to haul heavy loads than the EV or a quad - but much safer, provide good exercise, still faster than walking, cheaper to run & maintain, never runs out of charge or gas, and eco-friendly.

When someone marries one of your kids, please make it a joyful experience for them to enter your family. Be accepting. Be encouraging. As a mother/father in-law, you have such power to either be a great blessing or a great burden to them. Your actions will either draw them in with love or repel them with criticism. Be loving. The future of your family depends on it.

@@nikkimclay5474 It's a fine line between commenting on social events and exploiting them in a commercial endeavor. This is the tension with which the fashion industry struggles - unfairly. I don't think the process was successful and should be inspected closer. I am not afraid to say I am not familiar with the entire process, so before commenting further I would have to study the process more in depth.
