    I never comment on videos…. BUT as a young mom like you, I want to give you a hug Rissa 🥺 The “why me?” I felt it and felt it was right to say you’re doing ok mama. I can’t imagine how it feels coming from a vaginal delivery to a c-section but that doesn’t take away your strength as a woman or a mother. Advocate as you did! Lean on Quan! I love seeing Black women/WOC having support from black men/men of colour. You’re doing amazing and continue to be such a beacon of light for woman like myself and many others. I pray you always feel loved and happy, I pray that God blesses your family and that you continue to heal mentally and physically post pardum 🤍

    As a nurse, I do know this is normal as you can have fluid build up, and the incision will reopen so, the fluid may escape. It will heal itself and close up. I had three c-section, and my last SX, the incision reopen but, I had staples instead of sutures. When showering just let the soapy water fall over it, keep the area nice and dry. Thank you Rissa for sharing this with us. ❤❤❤

    • @jeanetteambersley9237
      @jeanetteambersley9237 10 месяцев назад

      That’s true, but it’s not normal for an incision to reopen. It happens, but not normally

    • @monimur6016
      @monimur6016 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@jeanetteambersley9237 if there is build of fluid that needs to be release, it is normal to escape from a fresh incision that was just open, in the healing process. It is not abnormal that this happened. But she is good now, as it re-healed itself.

    Take care of yourself! Glad you are listening to your body. Three weeks after my baby I was having weird back spasms and decided to go to the hospital. I’ve been in the hospital and rehab for 3 months away from my baby and family because I lost my ability to walk. Turns out I had a bad reaction to the epidural it damaged my spinal cord unfortunately. Glad I listened to my body because they were able to help me relearn walking and standing. I’m still struggling with walking. I get to go home this Thursday. So excited for the snuggles.

    The way you Guys take time out to share your status with all you have going on is everything. Rissa, take it easy. A C-section is major surgery which required them to cut several layers of your skin to bring Baby Savi here, and it takes time to fully heal. I'm glad you Guys aired on the side of caution and went to the Doctor. Love you Guys!!

    God, always keep his promise.
    You are definitely strong, Rissa. Take the time to recover. This is extremely important. I had a c-section with my second son. You will be back to your normal routine sooner than you know.
    Quan, you are a great future husband to Rissa and a great father to Shine and Saviour.
    We visualize the love you have for one another, Robert's family. The Angels are watching over Rissa, Quan, Shine, and baby Saviour. Believe and have faith as a grain of mustard seed all is well in Robert's household and their lives. Amen.

    The timing of it is so similar to mine! I had a tiny little burning opening on my left side and it was super tender just a week before my six weeks appointment. I also just used the tape to keep it covered. Doctor cleared me of any infection and said it was completely normal and healing well. It eventually worked itself out and I’m all good now. This is my third c section and this was the first time this happened. It’s crazy how the body reacts differently to different situations. All the best Rissa!

    I had 4 C-Sections so I totally understand what you are going through. I know you love your baby Shine, heck we all do but it would be a good idea for you not to lift/ pick him up. That could also cause your wound to open up. Please be very careful Rissa because you could experience a set back from all the lifting and bending. Also using a little bit of Vaseline on the wound will help you to heal also. I was allergic to the antibiotic ointment so it caused my wound to open up. But yes everything the doctor is saying is true. Continue on your healing journey and keep spoiling your two beautiful sons.. They are so handsome and I love how Shine loves on his baby brother. Love you guys ❤💙

    Congrats to both of you on the birth of your new son. I think Rissa was active too soon, a c section is much different from a normal delivery. The tissues need to heal and that takes a while, you will be ok just no heavy lifting even picking up the baby u have to be careful not to strain your stomach and take it easy. Quan is such a gem and I know he will be there for you and your sons. Blessings to both on you, praying all goes well Rissa.

    I had 3 daughters...28, 17, and 15. My 2 youngest daughters were both delivered by c-section. In my first c-section, the incision opened, and it hurt like pure hell. No infection but they packed it with gauze, and I had to leave it in for a few days, and it came out on its own. The incision took longer to close, but it finally did. I had staples/stitches, and yes... the burning sensation is normal. I'm glad all is well with you. But remember, no lifting, no squatting and no lifting baby Shine. He is too heavy for you to pick up right now because of your incision and the pressure will cause your incision to separate like a zipper. Go home, put your feet up, and don't lift anything heavier than the baby. That's the most important thing. ❤😊

Because they will push like that to see how much bleeding you could have going on. They also keep you guys for a while to see if any thing like more bleeding or fluid would come out..Rissa I'm like you I believe in getting checked out and it is a real good sign that you only have discomfort no real pain. The trauma of motherhood is lifelong. I still cry some days. I have recurring flashbacks of my labor. Also it makes me upset hearing this doctor talking. Made me tear up a bit and have flash backs of my 3rd c section last year . I cried the whole procedure and afterwards during the healing process the burning sensation was painful and I couldn’t stand sit or lay down without crying in pain and when I called the dr she said that still needed to heal and had a major surgery . The lady didn’t seem concerned . Then later on my staple was poking through my skin it didn’t dissolve with the rest . My scar is still uncomfortable to this day . We know when our bodies are off and when something is wrong . I wish I had a dr like that, that was more caring and concerned and willing to see what was going on . I’m glad you got it checked and that you’re ok . ❤️❤️

    C-sections can be so tough and healing process is so hard as well! I had my first C-section exactly 20 years ago last month and I still never got my feeling back around my scar area. Took about 5 mths to heal and my second C-section was 10 years ago and I healed and two months. Every C-section can be completely different. Hope you get feeling better soon Rissa!

    Abdominal incisions are known to dehisce. Hopefully, it's not infected, good for you Rissa for taking control of your health! Another thing to look for is drainage redness or swimming. Congratulations on your new baby ❤️❤️

    Still keep an eye on it Rissa, I had this same problem and after several hospital trips, use of glue and extra stitches. (I didn’t have an infection) I finally went into my OBs and what ended up happening was I was clotting underneath my incision which wasn’t allowing my body to heal from the inside out. Which is why I had an opening in my incision as well because it was healing just from the outside. Also why it kept/leaking/bleeding even 3 weeks after my surgery. What ended up happening was I had to get my incision opened back up again and had to get all blood clots removed from under the skin before it finally being able to heal properly. I had to have this process happen a few times a week and would have to go into my OBs office until it finally started healing from the inside out. My OB who did my C-section was a very well known OB in my city (he has delivered over 15,000+ babies) he had other OBs in there learning from him because they hadn’t ever really seen that before in any of their patients. He was just an OG so he knew exactly what was happening and all the other doctors that I saw from that same office couldn’t figure out why my incision wasn’t closing.

    Gland there is no infection. When I had a c-section they stapled my incision. My incision never opened but I did have a burning sensation on the right side for like a year. I too NEVER looked at my incision I just made sure that when I showered I used that bottle and squirted water on it to keep infection away. But Rissa you’ll heal like a champ…your young ❤️

    Hi Rissa and Quan. Thank you both for the vlog. Rissa, you need to take things slowly so you can heal properly. Please let Quan help as much as possible. I know from experience that you need rest to heal because I have had three abdominal surgeries (2 C-sections and a laparotomy). Please make sure your intake of vitamin C and protein is adequate which are necessary for healing. May God continue to bless and keep you and your family safe and healthy. All the best to you both!!!

    Prayers for you Rissa. Yes, c-sections are a very long healing process. When you get cleared at the 6 week mark, try not to do strenuous workouts. You know your body. I didn’t start doing crunches until 4 months after my son. Incisions being open doesn’t sound normal and they should close it, but they are the doctors but my doctors said to return if incision opened up. Either way, take your time to heal properly because layers of muscles have been cut and the slightest moves like reaching for your purse in the back seat can feel like a muscle pulling.

    Rissa you are doing so great with that. I had Uterine Fibroids and I got surgery in December of 2021 and the same place that they cut for C-Sections is for that surgery as well. Mines cut is just now getting back to normal and sometimes you will still feel discomfort & numbness in that spot. I will get better I promise. ❤❤❤❤ Love y’all family.

    I'm so happy that Rissa paid attention, because even the smallest opening can cause a infection. Keep it clean and dry and take it was ❤
