Best video on poly lens I’ve seen! I just bought my first wireless headset… Poly Savi 7420-Office which is DECT for a Mitel-5330e desk phone. Do you know anything about either of these… maybe an EHS you can recommend?!
Unfortunately none of the manufacturers (Poly, Jabra, EPOS, Yealink) that produce office headsets have an EHS that works on the 5330 telephones. If you want remote answering you would have to use a lifter instead of the EHS with any of the Poly wireless headsets. Be warned that when going this route the lifter can be a little tricky to set up on the 5330 telephone. There is one wireless headset with built in EHS and that is the DECT wireless headset made by Mitel for the 5330 phones. Unfortunately They stopped producing these wireless headsets. is there a way by which I can repair broken mic which my baby broke, i tried to find out any such video but there is battery change video I got but not the mic one as mic's connector strip is also cut in two pieces
If your microphone broke on the Poly Voyager Focus headset I do not recommend this is something you would want to fix yourself. If you purchased the headset less than 2 years ago it is still under warranty and you could get it replaced by Plantronics. This is the route I would take if your headset is under warranty. If it's more than 2 years then you'll want to buy a new one.
You can use your laptop's Bluetooth. The problem is that not all laptops perform well for two-way communication. This means that you may be able to listen to music very well but when it comes to conversation on apps like Zoom or Teams you may get less than stellar performance. This is not a hard and fast rule because there's so much variation among the different manufacturers of laptops but it is a complaint that we see from different users. Give it a try and if it doesn't work then you will need a replacement dongle.
