Guys, kogal isn't a substyle. it's an age category. It's more used to describe gyarus in high school, and if anyone isn't within the kogal age range, the style of wearing uniforms is called nanchatte seifuku!

Edit: I found out I’m a Yamanba/ Manba during my researches abt Gyaru , I knew from a personality test I found (which is helpful for those who are trying to find out what Gyaru sub-culture they are).

But honestly not just that, I admired gals/ gyarus very much. I think they’re brave, REALLY BRAVE! I’ve tried to fit in but couldn’t so I don’t anymore. My friends are as loud as me and I love them! I still couldn’t wear anything like Gyaru since Im 14 right now and my parents would never allow me to wear anything. They would shout at me for protesting how I think I should look. But thank you for your reminder, I will keep that in mind and would keep researching.

Yamanbas take it to the extreme with darker skin and white highlights, eyes and lips.
