I cannot thank you enough for offering this teaching session! I struggled with translating my vision onto canvas, and watching your process helped relieve that block! I am so grateful to you for allowing me to move my art in this new direction. Thank you!
Good morning 👋😊 Shawn 🌹 very nice layers of colours and textures on your piece now thank you for sharing stay safe and be careful 🙏✍️🖌️🎨💌🌹👋☺️ enjoy your weekend too 👍 see you next new video tomorrow 👏
Shawn what an awesome video, it got my foot tapping while I watched you swirl and stencil my juices into go mode! What a gorgeous teach, thank you so much! Love love your art piece🌹
Love, love, love this piece! I think it’s Jane Davies that uses this collage technique and, of course, you did it brilliantly! So inspiring and enjoyable to watch you work it all out!💕🇨🇦
I never could have imagined the direction that you wound up going into! Thank you so much for showing us how you do this. It looks as if you don't use modge podge so much as you use white paint / gesso? Anyway thank you I really enjoyed the inspiration I now know why my stuff looks so flat to me it's because I don't have layers duh Thank you
Can you please tell me if you use a particular type of tissue paper. The paper I have falls to pieces. Thank you Shawn. You are my favorite artist and teacher. ❤️
Love the process and the final results...btw, how do you seal the final marks you made using pastels, charcoal etc? They are layered onto acrylic, I would assume they would rub off...also, my husband could hear your music and was digging it!!
I typically don't pay too much attention to that, unless my paint starts to bead up, I will then go to the less glossy side. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@ShawnPetite Thank you. I am pacing myself and learning as I go about the materials. Watching you work as I am working is very inspirational. I can get a sense of how the materials will work from your experience, then I use them. Practice, practice, practice. I really appreciated how you used different color media to demonstrate effects using your stencils. Different media gives a different result despite the stencil being the constant. This was hugely helpful to see your samples. I love how open you are in demonstrating technique. I absolutely loved the freeform painting on deli paper. The translucency achieved after adhering it to the substrate is magical. I know it's a huge commitment to teach us and I so appreciate the archive of your work for inspiration. You are loved. :-)
I am still working on getting the hang of "editing" my work. I love that you use both hands when you do it. It fires up both sides of my brain when I do it, lol!
I went to your site to look at your stencils. Initially there was a pop-up saying I would get a discount if I signed up but that pop-up did not appear again. Could you provide me with a code so I can use it? I think it is for 20%. Thanks.
Absolutely fabulous. I love old small community churches. Just beautiful

Love the process and the final results...btw, how do you seal the final marks you made using pastels, charcoal etc? They are layered onto acrylic, I would assume they would rub off...also, my husband could hear your music and was digging it!!

So awesome. What are you using for the white? Is it crayon or marker?
its a white china marker I get them from Amazon :) Thanks for watching!
@@ShawnPetite thank you. I so enjoy watching you create!🥳
I love this and also the music to it! Amazing!
Also what kind of white pastel did you use? I never saw that.
That was a white china marker, I think I forgot to list it in the supplies oops sorry! Thanks for watching!
Does it matter which side of the deli paper you use to put down the color? I noticed that one side seems glossy.
I typically don't pay too much attention to that, unless my paint starts to bead up, I will then go to the less glossy side. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@ShawnPetite I'm watching and wearing them sandals I got off your website. I was the envy of all my friends today :0)
Oh yea! So happy you like them!
❤
What kind of spray paint are you using?
When you create this piece and film it, how much time is it actually taking you from start to finish? Thanks!
It usually take about 1 and half or 2 hours. But I've preplanned or done a mock up first.
