The first two Hammerfall albums "Glory to the brave" and "Legacy of kings" were really great power metal albums and they came in a time when metal in general wasn´t at it´s peak. Grunge and nu-metal had almost killed the more old fashioned and TRUE metal. Hammerfall was one of the bands that really helped with turning the tide. They are not what they once were but I will always remember those two first albums.
Funny enough during the interview with Oscar he told me he considered HammerFall a heavy metal band and not a power metal band. Interview will be up tomorrow.

I saw Hammerfall in Toronto several years ago, and I met the band before the show (VIP pass), and Oscar told me the same thing that he doesn't like the "power metal" label that some people put on the band! He was real cool, as well as the entire band! It looks like you guys had a great time.
Amazing concert, loved them playing in the small venue. Awesome to see so many young(er) people getting into Sabaton and Hammerfall! Props to the 20 or so other folks who knew who Hammerfall was ;)
Such a fabulous show. Saw their show in Cleveland and they never disappoint. Really stoked to get back to see Hammerfall headline next year with the amazing Beast in Black. Excited to see your interview vids!

Both bands put on a great show, and they're well matched in tone. Even folks who came specifically for one band will dig both. I'm looking forward to seeing Hammerfall again when they tour with Beast in Black next year. That should be a riot.

Always been a fan of Hammerfall, but I’m not that hard core anymore. I think that Joacim doesn’t give us a full force live performance, but the overall is good. I’m not into Sabaton, I know they’re great musicians, but I’m not into their music.

German Rule No 1 at a Sabaton Concert: Shout "Noch-ein-Bier!" (=another beer) instead of Sa-Ba-Ton

Also heard in the current Swedish tour. It has become a meme of the Sabaton family
as a side note,first time i heard sabaton they actually opend for hammerfall in Gothenburg.
Same for me. I went for Hammerfall but haven't listened to them at all since but Sabaton still keeps my blood pumping

I miss 1648 or Metal Crue or 40:1. THey dont play them too often. They did 40:1 during the tour few times, but Metal Crue does not get enough love.
