I think I can speak for all of us when I say you've definitely left a huge footprint on the ragtime community, exposing some great talent and obscure pieces of music. I hope your surgery goes well. Even if it only adds a couple years to your clock, it's still better than kickin' the bucket tomorrow. Take things slow, man. One step at a time. We're all rootin' for ya!

It's amazing how hearing about other people's worse health problems doesn't make me feel better about my own.. I want us BOTH to be healthy, dammit. Hope all that gets successfully treated.

Wishing you the very best in the near and far future. Don’t let yourself believe “this is what’s gonna kill me”. Morbidly, anything could do that. This is something you have to *live* with, and while that isn’t fair, *that’s* the reality of what it is. You were already living with it. All that diagnosis did was give you the power to manage it and keep your life on a healthy track. Please be mindful of those desperate feelings. They can also be the death of us.

For your desk, a standing desk or riser may prove to be helpful. Can't get up if you never sit down in the first place. An "active sitting" chair might help as well

I hope through ongoing treatment and fresh air you're able to live relatively comfortably with emphysema. I read that people with it can have normal lives and life expectancies if it's not severe. Hoping for the best for you and Tom.

Sad news. May the Father guide you. A lot of good testimonies came out with the X39 Life Wave patch, it may be something to look into for the lungs, although it can get expensive. Phototherapy.
