I’ve just come across this and other tracks by this artist , there’s so much undiscovered reggae, and I’ve been listening for nearly forty years, Lee scratch Perry’s work is also not appreciated how it should be, he was a true reggae pioneer, just as great as. Bob Marley, if not better, Thanks for posting , I really appreciate reggae music, and thanks to the artists and to the great. Lee. Scratch perry......❤️💛💚❤️💛💚❤️💛💚❤️
"Burnett's big hit came with a cover of Brook Benton's 'Rainy Night in Georgia', adapted at the Ark as 'Rainy Night in Portland', issued as the B-side of the thoughtful 'Know Love' by the harmony duo Twin Roots (first issued on seven-inch in 1976), and there was a fearsome repatriation original, 'Open The Gate', with a rousing horn fanfare and spine-tingling cymbal crashes." From page 304 of the book 'People Funny Boy' by David Katz. Chapter 9, Police and Thieves: The Golden Years of the Black Ark. This book will tell you everything about Lee Perry's life and works. I've read 460 pages and still another 200 or so to go!
