This is a great video. I'm in my late 50's and I grew up around this area. I really miss the place. I had to move for work reasons nearly 30 years ago. I remember before it had all the modern sports areas. The centre of the park used to have a horse racing circuit, though I never saw any horses on it. It also used to have a skateboarding area at the other end near Blue Coats. I spent most days in the park during my school holidays. My sister still lives nearby so I get to visit it now and then. I agree with your suggestions, especially the allowing football for free at certain times. It shouldn't cost a lot to maintain astro turf, so why the high price? Please keep making more videos of Wavertree. It brings back happy memories.

Yes, the toilets were part of a train station that used to be there. It was boarded up but often broken into.
