Realme water damage repair, my thoughts as i do it

In this video im doing a repair on a Realme phone, actually unsure what model it is but its water damaged and wont power up.
This is my though process as i work on liquid damaged phones

Used to open ipad and remove glued back covers on phones

When using the heat gun near sensitive parts, its best to cover them
With this to protect them

Thanks for this nice view. Was this lucky or do you usualy have to do more ? I'd do mine if I have just to spot corosion and brush it off, but ive no knowledge about phone repairs. What are some key elements i could be watching for ? realme 8 died yearlier in the week in a bath ...

you need to look for white corosion, but also i find liquid damage a luck of a draw with how bad it is

I happen to have the same phone
Mine just feel down a toilet💀and after cleaning it and letting it dry, it still won't open. The strange thing is,
When i retrived it the screen was on and the touch was also working so i quickly turned it off (screen off) and now on power on the screen just flickers white and shuts off again... any idea what's going on?

After my phone(realme) got wet, the power button is not working but the screen shows the charging screen when it is charged when I plug it in

my phone fell in water and it was working for 5 mins then it shut off. I tried to charge it and the scren turned on for a second then turned off, the next day i tried to charge it again but it doesn't even vibrate or turn on.. any idea on what happened?
