Jealousy from the host Paul. I seriously think that it was such an exquisite example of baking artistry that I don' t think ANY baker ANYWHERE could top it.
Everyone who watches the show knows that lion bread is. Got to be the number one baked of all time...... it was crazy that he did it with bread it was beautiful and all the bread came out perfectly baked that was like ridiculously difficult..... even Paul the judge was just shocked he was just like so stunned and he said it was exceptional that even he wouldn't have attempted to make something that difficult and he's like super professional professional Master bread maker
number 1 didn't deserve to be number 1. really, it shouldn't even be on the list. I wish you would've shown the cakes from the botanical week. those were MAGNIFICENT.
I like how “dramatic” in the great British baking show is someone throwing away their cake while in America the kitchen is burning, the judges are vomiting, and teammates are screaming at one another. Even then the show still isn’t considered that dramatic.
I'm waiting, patiently, for a GBBO re-match series. Baker's from each season that were tripped up by a single mistake get to go back to the tent and compete (a complete season not just a special or holiday show). Please make this happen. Oh, and Paul's bread lion still gets no respect.
My favourite was Ians chocolate well, it was a technical masterpiece and highly creative, and it actually had a working bucket you could lower and pull up the "water", which was cream. There's been nothing more inventive or clever than that. As an artist myself I watch Bake Off principally for the designs and technical prowess.
@@jowilltellthetruth5525 Yes! Finally someone who agrees with me. I could not stand Nadiya when she was a contestant and do not think she should have won. I agree that the Queen's birthday cake was hideous!
"Look how beautiful and magnificent this creation is." *Shows something so wild and impressive* "even though he didn't take home Star Baker that week-" WHAT
The picnic cake from that dude in blue should've been #2. Paul Hollywood was shocked that the cake came out tasting so wonderfully (because usually when a baker took that much time to do something so wonderfully realistic, the taste suffered due to lack of time). And the bread lion should've been #1. Doing that in 5 hours, and with bread that tasted great, is EXTREMELY difficult to do. Even Paul Hollywood wouldn't have done it--it's that hard to do. But that guy pulled off that bread lion miracle.
@@elly4141 I know. It's just that they're so beautiful and the results of so much work you almost want to keep them on display. They're meant to be eaten though!
Terrible list, the number 1 you chose was underwhelming, Paul's lion bread sculpture should have been at the top for the sheer complexity and perfect execution!
I am Bavarian and really have no idea, what a Bavarian Clocktower is supposed to be... but it looked okay. My favourite is the gingerbread Pub. Ironically we have pubs (Boazn) and gingerbread in Bavaria.
I feel the same way. I've noticed that every season, one or both of the judges pick out a baker that they are really negative about and always give poor reviews. That's not judging fairly.
Secret ingredient for carrot 🥕 cake.... Add pineapple 🍍 to keep moisture and it brings out the flavor of the carrot... And using extra moist pointers.... Like pudding in the mix .... Pineapple 🍍 upsidedown cake... Double the butter 🧈 and the brown sugar
Being from the US, I would like to see an American bakes week. Perhaps a savory Pot Pie Signature, a Boston Cream Pie or Red Velvet Cake Technical, and a Showstopper of Beignets
Or otherwise, 1. Visual delight makes up for physical (like an anorexic - eating by watching food, not tasting) 2. Realize how much work goes into making a desert, and you think "f*ck it - not worth the effort" (which works for me)
Not even close - some weak entries, and a lot of great ones missing. Nothing from Richard, Chetna, Ian, or Tamal? Come on. And those are far from the best things Frances or Nadiya produced.
While I loved Becca's Cheese [and mice] cake, I'm sorry but Ruby's allotment cake [complete with shed] literally 'took the cake' that day! iirc, Ruby also took home Star Baker that day --- just as she deserved to do.
This narrator is not accurately portraying these creations. Paul and Mary actually were quite critical of many of them. I should know better than to click on anything by WatchMojo.
No, I don’t agree with this list. What on earth qualified the number one even to be on this list? It’s an insult to the other bakes that it was even included in the list.
How is the bread lion not higher on the list
I agree. Also, how did the sandwich illusion cake not rank higher?! When Paul says it is perfect, he means it!
@@stevethepirate0011 Steven, who made the sandwich illusion cake, later made an exquisite bread designer bag, which astonished the judges.

A P yeah, number 1 looked good but it was overly simple I think
Agree. How is a stack of shortbreads rated higher than any of the others on the list? No way it deserved No. 1
Absolutely agree. I was speechless when it got to number 1. What? How is that the winner?
Yes, where is Hermine's cake with the poppy???

Cuz the GBBO doesn't need to fake drama to still get views so it's a mellow show
That is the main reason WHY I love GBBS and don't like American cooking shows at all anymore
@@christinebadostain6887 I agree Christine. I can't watch American cooking shows because they're all so horrible to each other.
Rest in peace Luis Troyano
Did Luis pass away?
@@anthonyfox5696 yes he passed away from cancer in October
Ah crap rest in peace Luis he seemed nice screw cancer.
How sad 😭
That’s so sad. I only just started watching this and saw his season last week. Such a nice guy. Screw cancer. RIP Luis…
Still annoyed Paul’s king of the jungle didn’t get a Hollywood handshake
same
sme and he didn't get star baker
It was a true work of art
How is a stack of shortbreads rated higher than any of the others on the list? No way it deserved No. 1
Not only did it not deserve it, but it didn't fulfill the brief. The brief was for gingerbread.
Agreed. Absolutely ridiculous
that 3-d dragon was amazing.
The number one entry is ridiculous. All of the other bakes were better than that one. Who came up with this list?

Paul's King of the Jungle Bread should have been first.
It’s is a sin Kim-Joy didn’t make this list!!
Her chocolate sphere with the turtles.😊
Everytime the judges get mad at Louie I feel so sad because he would be dead just 3 years later. 😢🙏
Now we need just a top 10 for Nadia
That would just be a list of "and Nadia was there and was great the whole time" and I'd just be like "YES! YES SHE WAS!"
She’s an over achiever
Nadia is overrated, her cake for the Queen was hideous.
@@jowilltellthetruth5525 Yes! Finally someone who agrees with me. I could not stand Nadiya when she was a contestant and do not think she should have won. I agree that the Queen's birthday cake was hideous!
It’s so painfully obvious that the people who made this list don’t bake
or watch the show.
You guys are funny 😆 and correct
No Rahul on this list? I’m surprised
The hen that was made during biscuit week should b in the top 10. Don't know what season it was, but that was stunning
"Look how beautiful and magnificent this creation is."

"even though he didn't take home Star Baker that week-"
WHAT
Noel Fielding 😍
Candices peacock should have been on this list!!
Or Nadiya’s peacock.
All the peacock's. That's the most successful animal on the show. LOL
No way Candaces peacock is better than Nadiya's....Nadiya's was 10x better
Flora may have been her own undoing, but she made some of the most beautiful bakes of the show: in Mary Berry’s words, “so delicate, so perfect.”
The picnic cake from that dude in blue should've been #2. What are you talking about!? The most random list I've ever seen, Paul's bread lion should be no 1!
I wouldn't want to eat some of these creations, because they're just too beautiful.
And theres too much icing... and also the bakers have fiddled with each and wvery bite 🤢
I always cringe when Paul callously breaks apart some of these beautiful creations and eats them.

Tamal's Abandoned Chinese Fishing Village is only one of the many very underrated masterpieces of this awesome show.

Lion #1!!!!!!
So why is Noel Fielding in the thumbnail?
Is it weird I came here after watching an Ol’Gregg video?

I love this show! I also watch the Brazilian bake off!
That baked Alaska was NOT left out by “accident”
I'm curious as to where James' old biscuit barn was
I feel like this is another version of a previous list.
No cornucopia of bread? No Rav's final terrarium? No derelict barn? No honorable mentions? I call major foul!
I have to agree the #1 pick shouldn't have been #1 . The lion bread Nadia's cheese cake and the sandwich cake were way better.
Guaranteed there will be no entries from the 2022 season, how on earth did some of those bakers make it onto the show
Do these people realize that neon fondant and building a tacky scenery doesnt equal good baking?
Yeh left out by accident 😉
What about Iain’s baked Alaska?
Bread lion Paul looks like a younger Greg Davies.
Am on diet, how'd I end up here?
Jesus I can't bare that narrators voice
The best ones visually were the "cheese" cake, the lunch cake, the banana-ramen cake, and the fizzy pop cheesecakes.
Luis... 😢😢😢😢
I think the queen should cook something
8 out of 10 went to the real bake off seasons. That tells you something
Would like to know what happened to woman that left baked Alaska out to melt. She was so nasty from get go.
You're making me hungry in a way that I never felt I'm from merica
