Real quick, the Happy Mask Salesman is not a parallel character; it's suggested in the game that just like Skull Kid he is from OoT's world. The same HappyMask. He speaks directly of Link "having done this before" aka save the world or played the role of a hero.
Oh shit, you’re right! Someone else had commented about how cool that *would* be if he was from OoT, but yeah, that dialogue alone pretty much confirms. That’s sick!
The reason Majora's laser beam brought you back to the start of the fight is because zora and deku link can't take fire damage without 'dying' but rather than give a game over it simply voids you out as if you had fallen into a pit.
If you've never played the 3DS version of the game, they changed how a lot of the boss fights work. The biggest example is probably twin mold, where you can no longer use your sword and have to basically wrestle with it and it's extremely fucking annoying and bad.
I have it on my 3DS but haven’t actually played it! I wanted to finish the original before starting that because I have heard that some stuff got changed, but I think the main thing I heard complaints about was the Zora swimming (and yeah, the boss fights). Didn’t they also adjust how the time warping works??
The guide not mentioning the Stone Mask BEFORE Pirate's Fortress is pretty scuffed. Twinmold has a charge attack, it just happens to look no different from what it's already doing. Majora's Incarnation will occasionally spam a barrage of those light balls the other masks were shooting. ---- Wizzrobe is a common mob enemy in just about every other Zelda game it's in, so it's fitting that the one time where it gets to function exclusively as a mini-boss, it's still more frequent than anyone would prefer to deal with. Also there's one more encounter in a mini-boss gauntlet hidden behind a water fall in Ikana (if that one got mentioned in the video, I forgot). Something about hating a song because of someone's fanfiction is one of those unreasonable things that's hilarious.
I actually didn’t know about the Wizzrobe being being the waterfall, that’s sick! I do really like Elegy Of Emptiness, that part was mainly a bit, haha. That being said, the Ben Drowned creepypasta just happens to be the one that was super over played, so I had to shit in it.
It just went public today, but came out early for my channel members! The way RUclips handles that publishing method is really fucking strange though. It straight up did not show up on the channel at all until it went live today
the thing about kafei and anju is, while yea, kafei is indeed de-aged back to the form of a child you beat the game and it's strongly implied he went back to normal and doing the side quest adds the scene that shows that yes, kafei was able to have his curse lifted (we never see adult kafeis face) so no, i dont think the anju and kafei quest is wrong as the curse gets lifted at the end of the game regardless.
Agreed! That was mainly just a joke, not a real criticism. Actually, now that you mention it, I wonder if the reason we don’t see adult Kafei is because they didn’t have the time to sculpt a whole new model for him. Either way, it’s strange that they don’t actually give closure to that quest and just leave it open ended
It does, and I just so happened to snag it from a retro store a couple months back 😎 It wasn't on my immediate radar of videos, but honestly with this comment and the praise that the show is getting, I might have to bring it up off the bench!
Has anyone ever told you you sound like Kermit the Frog? Not an insult, just a observation. Like you could probably do a stellar Kermit impression. Brilliant vid btw.
You are correct! I was going solely off of the walkthrough section of the book, but not using the chapters after that that go over quests and items and stuff. As far as I know, everything is in the guide, just not in the walkthrough
also, to inform people, the fight is reset by the beam due to a hidden mechanic, zora gets "killed" in fire/lava, fire realy bad for fish man, and similererly goron's are to heavy to swim, and thus, drown, so water bad, deku is the worse of both taking incresed fire damage and cant swim, and instead hops on the water. if fire dosnt kill fish man, it takes 2X damage like deku, while gorron take 1/2 fire damage, causeing slower tick damage. similerery to OOT red tunic.
Also thank you! Someone else had commented this too and I was not aware that that was what it was. I thought it was something about me blocking with the fins lmao
@@AquaSloth it is kinda a unspoken mechanic, i found it out by geting stuck in snowhead and landing in lava, then testing, cause i was stuck as a kid on what to do to beat snowhead.
You are really nailing this form of content. It has also been great to watch your growth. I discovered you late and had to catch up on, so I got a bit of a fast-forwarded view of the channel. It seems as if each video, I notice a bit more polish has been added and maybe some small adjustments are made or you've incorporated advice I've read others give in the past comments. You just keep on shining this gem! I'd watch/listen to you talk about the intended way to do just about anything.
My fuckin MAN thank you for the kind words! I try to make each one better than the last, and I genuinely feel like these videos have improved with each iteration. Appreciate ya, boss
Two boss names in this game that nobody can seem to agree on how to pronounce: Goht ("got" vs "goat"), and Gyorg ("yorg with a hard G at the start" vs "Gigh-org" vs "Jigh-org"). Reminds me of how there's still people pronouncing "Hylian" as "High-Lay-An" or Hill-Lee-an" instead of "High-Lee-an"
Gyorg I guess I can see there being a debate, but I don’t really see how you’d get “Got” from Goht. That being said, my family and I pronounced pretty much everything in Ocarina of Time wrong the entire time we played it. Saria was Sarah, Kokiri was Kokorki. Literally nothing made sense looking back on it 🤣
Hope you enjoyed it! As I said at the end, it’s been on my backlog for literal years and I was super stoked to finally get the time to play it. Definitely one of my favorites
they redesigned twinmold in MM3ds where A the mask is in the boss room. B spawns when one falls, and C become sumo, TBH all the bosses became eyeball bosses, soo, although cool. kinda sucks
I have heard that the 3DS version had a lot of changes, some good and some not so good, and I want to give it a spin sometime! Wanted to experience the original as it was in 2000 before getting into the remake
Do you think that the Mask Salesman is a Termina copy of the Hyrule version like all the other characters? I always thought it was the actual same salesman from Hyrule Castle town who happened to wander into Termina.
Ooooww, I like the thought of him being the same as the Hyrule one. I’m sure there’s theories online about that, but it’d be sick to find out he also wandered through the portal thing and did basically the same thing that we did as Link.
