Thanks for doing this comparison, with examples. I wasn’t entirely convinced by reading ik’s description of differences, that that there was really much of a difference, but your demonstration really helped clarify a difference in sound - thanks.

Yes it is a big chance between the old and the new speakers, can be noticed from iPhone. Thank you.

Very good information. Would have loved to have heard a piano sound through them. I play in some very small venues and they might be just the thing, but now, I don't know. What do you think? Good review though, even if a little truncated. Thanks.

These are studio monitors, meant for studio monitoring. I would not recommend studio monitors for any kind of audience as their peak performance is achieved by being centered to and close to them (hence the term "near field studio monitors"). The farther away you get the more detail you'll lose. PA's are for performance and audiences. You don't need stereo for an audience either, so one PA should work. I use a QSC CP8 for smaller solo piano gigs.

@@PianoManChuck Thanks I have CP8s, as a result of your video, btw. I do need stereo though because I use at least 3 in a layer and the pad a strings should be passned opposite. It creates a cinematic sound. Thanks you sir for your response.

Nice setup for your usage. Stay tuned, I'll be doing an A/B sound demo of these 2 sets of monitors soon.

Original MTM looks like its filter cutoff on on high frequency LOL. Very big difference. and I listen this with Neumann NDH 30. I was about to buy 2nd hand original but not anymore
