I love Gatlinburg. It’s a beautiful little community even with all the tourist places. I especially remember all the items made by outstanding crafts men and women. The school looks interesting.
I did not tell you but this video did inspire me to take a class at Arrowmont in 2019. I had good intentions of taking an Ellsworth class in 2020, but that didn't happen. One day. Thanks for the memories. Harold Mills
Mike, I really like the tour/on site videos you've been doing lately. Not that I don't love your how to's and tips videos, but it's nice to see something out of the ordinary. Can't wait to see a how to on the "lock box." Ahem. :)
Brings back a lot of memories! My time at Arrowmont was the greatest experience in woodturning I have ever had. In 2015, I was lucky enough to be awarded an AAW / Arrowmont scholarship and spent a week there with David Ellsworth.
I was just in Gatlinburg the week prior on vacation with the family. I’ve heard of the school there but never checked it out. Thanks for the view from inside.

Thanks Mike I attended their wood turning class several years ago and Mark Gardner was our instructor. Had a great time. Thanks for the memories.
I was there at the end of June taking David Ellsworth's class. Great opportunity to immerse yourself in woodturning for a week.
A great experience. I had a one day hands on with David in Atlanta a few years ago.

Thanks so much for that feedback, Harold. That video did not get a lot of views but I am glad it got yours. Safe turning my friend.
Interesting video!
Thanks, Aleksey!

Excellent. I used one of his long, ugly handled hollwoing tools while there. Where did I see one of your pieces recently online?
I have posted a few on WoW and Segmented Woodturners ... you probably saw either my latest Beads of Courage box or my 6-sided vase.
Nice little tour of the place Mike! Thanks for sharing it with us.😎👍JP
