@@d.j.8059 💯 There will be some good head coaches available in January. If this season doesn't turn out to be REALLY successful for the Bears, it's time for Poles to start looking at those other options.

Used to be a DJ fan. This season has completely changed my mind. Keenan at least is just a crippled old man. DJ is just lazy. Funny that we finally get a decent WR core and they decide to take the year off. Good ol' Bears ball.
Idk what waldrons fascination with TE screens are. Get the ball to ur best/fastest player with 85 blocking. Keep it simple. I don’t get it Kmet is not a burner or shifty or shown anything in the screen game before so why run it. They were trying to do it with Everett before too. Mind boggling. 29:50 he said in a presser after that he was holding the safety there with his eyes since he had DJ 1v1 with a backer. I dont think he was reading it left to right
First time watching the channel. Great stuff! Man, has DJ always been this way? You're right in that the coaches are clearly not that bothered by this. Any other team he'd be on the bench after pulling that.
I think on the TD to DJ that Caleb had already seen the matchup and knew before the snap where he was going to throw and what you’re calling his first read was more of a distractor of the safety help. But hey you’re the QB lol I trust your opinion
1, this isn't QB school, this is NFL O school 101. Reminds me of how Madden would do replay and color during games. 2, go back and watch Odunze on that Swift TD run, he's celebrating also. The Rookies were happy for Swift.
At 8:00 the penalty was NOT on DJ Moore. It was on Darnell Wright (RT) for not being on the line of scrimmage By the way! Excellent work! I absolutely LOVEEE your breakdowns bro!
The first read option QB run was the correct read, but it also looks like Roschon may have gotten through that gap for at LEAST the 1st down and possibly a TD.
I get what you’re saying with DJ Moore. The effort needs to be better, the attention to details, and the body language. But I do think he’s playing through some serious pain. It feels like he’s been limping around in 3 different games and maybe that’s part of the reason he’s being used as he is. But agreed he’s not getting it done any way you slice it.
I heard an analyst mention that on Caleb's TD to Moore, he looked left only to hold the safety there, but he (safety) wasn't going to make it over there regardless!
I have a suspicion that DJ Moore is playing through injury/pain because of his behavior and comments. Other than that, a lot of this dysfunction seems typical for a Bears QB. I told a friend recently that Caleb will probably be a good player, just not for this team. Any young QB would struggle when they have to play against their opponents and their own scheme at the same time.
Just think if the line could give CW some time and protection. The best thing they can do now is work out the run game early so it can open up the pass game more.
Nothing better than a Bears QB school bringing out an F-bomb on play 1. Can just as easily call this the Center school as it's amazing what a QB can do when he isn't blown up in the middle on every play like Caleb was in previous weeks.
Love DJ but man he just looks dejected every. single. play. he’s banged up sure (2 weeks now where he limps after a play) but come on man! Body language and effort no good, it’s not enough to go into an interview the day after and blame himself, just fix it!!
It look like CW is thinking to much or there is a chemistry issue. Maybe both but here is the fix. Him and the wr need to go and hang out and run concepts on the field after practice.
Offensive line is trash, Waldron is sus but it could just be horrible execution as well. Hard to say. If caleb had the Washington O line he’d be putting up some real crazy numbers imo.
Waldron is trash, Chris Morgan the OL coach is trash, OL is trash, and since Flus continues to let this happen he is trash! All 3 need to go & if Poles doesn't get real OL soon, he can kick rocks as well.
2:34 I completely agree and for some reason Shane love doing TE screens for some reason and be having worse ppl blocking for them. Lucky we didn’t see Carter as one of them blocker
Everything you point out makes perfect sense; this could have been a Bears blowout win. The Bears really should hire you to work with or be the OC. The focus you made on Caleb's celebration of Swift's touchdown run, so instructive; This guy is no prima donna, he just wants to win. Glad he's on my team.
How anyone can watch Caleb and not be incredibly concerned about the accuracy issues is mind blowing. I mean he’s just straight up air mailing open receivers on a regular basis, not even giving them a chance.
Its about getting comfortable and building chemistry with your receivers. 1st time playing in the nfl, new OC and a bad OL. Give him time to develop. It's only week 5 of the nfl this week. We're not even halfway through the season.
Rookie QB, new OC/offensive staff/playbook, interior OL, RB1, TE2, and 2/3 of the WRs. Lots of room for improvement, but I am seeing it week to week. I'm hoping the communication and personnel usage issues get straightened out soon, as well as the pre snap penalties.
The lack of effort consistently not from the 2 veteran WR’s Allen and Moore is a problem and it better be addressed by the coaches. When he was showing Allen not keeping up with Kmet if you look bottom screen you see Moore with same effort. The offensive line needs to play with a mean nasty streak and they don’t. Poles and Eberflus both said they want linemen with mean nasty instincts and we don’t have that all in any lineman on offense
On the dj touchdown. He always knew he was going to dj based on the defensive alignment. No safety help up top. Caleb held the safety by looking left but dj was always supposed to get that ball.
23:40 I think the center and left guard and 85's route turn blocked Caleb's vision of the flat footed safety. So learning to find the safety first either way like you said but man that bomb is nice in my imagination.
The difference between this guy and Jayden Daniels is Daniels elevates the entire offense’s play. He makes them better. They believe in him. The Bears are playing the opponent AND Williams. They should be 1-3 if it wasn’t for that walking meme that quarterbacks the titans 😂😂😂😂😊
The difference is Daniels has an OC that dumbed down the entire offense for him, while Waldron has Caleb making reads and throws all over the field. Let’s wait til we get toward the end of the season to judge Jayden vs Caleb where Kingsbury historically struggles to produce
@@rickrossstagedive3490 actually that’s incorrect. You haven’t watched Daniel’s last 3 games but keep up the copium for your fingernail painting savior 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
Likely on the inside zone sniffer, Kmet did not block correctly. This team does not pay attention to details correctly. I think on the TD, its a delayed release (slow intentional) to give time for Caleb to read left to right
On that first play, I think the decision not to have 15 run a go killed it. 4's block was further up field and if 15 takes him may away, then you give 85 a chance to make a 1-on-1 play. Less parts to fail.
DJ's effort just wow. I can excuse some of it, but quitting on that long Swift run is just.... there isn't words for it. Dude makes what tens/hundreds of thousand a game and can't just run into someone?
He’s injured rn playing through it p sure. They want him out there to play a decoy since he’s struggling to do anything else with it, and they probably think him off the field is even worse than him playing dumb football
@rapgodmaster6592 I mean I can understand that, you have a point if thats* true. But regardless of injury, his overall body language and poor attitude as someone who is supposed to be a leader on this team is just not excusable. As far as his injury goes, he started looking really healthy all of sudden once we started winning and he got a td.
@@logiquol123 that’s very true. Idk. I think he’s still upset by the fact that he has to play with a rookie qb. Him and Justin had a great friendship, and there have been many times where both Caleb and Moore haven’t been on the same page. The real thing is we’ll never know whose fault that is, until one of them goes and says something they’re not supposed to or until Moore leaves. So basically we won’t know for years
@@rapgodmaster6592 If he's just supposed to be a decoy, why does Caleb keep throwing him the ball? Did they forget to tell Caleb about their plan? That sounds like some BS cope.
Wouldn't be surprised if, on that last play, the coaching staff told Williams to either keep the ball or hand it off, but under no circumstances allow for an incomplete pass, which would stop the clock. That of course begs the question, why run that play and not something else? For this coaching staff, stupid is as stupid does.
I'm not a Bears fan. Far from it but man you can't stop from feeling sorry for Williams. That game that was in Prime Time he was getting his ass beat and for him to be able to stay in the pocket. He is one tough dude man. As for not trusting the deep ball you can't blame him when No2 gives up early on plays... Even if he is passing to 15. Rome is a dude and Calob needs to just trust him.
9:22 DJ saw the flag and knew it was coming back (it was on Wright, not DJ). Thats why he stopped blocking. Not a good look, but it wasn’t a live productive play.
I’ll still take taking the check down to Kmet for a first down then a lot of the missed passes I’ve had to watch. It’s a miss on the big play for sure but it’s at least an improvement and I’ll take growth on positive results rather than trying to teach from absolute negatives.

Watching your videos of Justin Fields last year and Caleb Williams this year, it certainly seems bears offensive staff does not know that they do not know. Thanks.
And it's a DIFFERENT offensive staff! Well, with one exception: the defensive coord- er, "Head Coach".
@@d.j.8059 the O-line coach Chris Morgan is to me the common link. He has a great rep from Matt Ryan mvp year in Atlanta but one wonders if that was Kyle Shanahan’s schemes and designs rather than Morgan.
@@d.j.8059 💯 There will be some good head coaches available in January. If this season doesn't turn out to be REALLY successful for the Bears, it's time for Poles to start looking at those other options.
The lack of effort some of these guys have shown makes my stomach turn. I've accepted that our interior OL is just full of bozos, but Keenan and DJ Moore need to step it up. They're so much better than this.
Might be some tension or drama in the locker room?..
Keenan was a GREAT pro, but has lost a step or TWO. He is just slow.
Used to be a DJ fan. This season has completely changed my mind. Keenan at least is just a crippled old man. DJ is just lazy. Funny that we finally get a decent WR core and they decide to take the year off. Good ol' Bears ball.
@@logiquol123you sound dumb
Surely coaching has to be a bit to blame. Need a Dan Campbell type who wouldn’t take this diva shit
#13 has Plantar Fasciitis. He shouldn't be playing. This is why he is so slow.
That 23 check down the penalty was the RT not lined up with the center
We threw a screen to kmet with odunze blocking an I almost lost my mind. It should be the reverse. And low and behold we don't convert on 3rd and short.
Love the show, life long Aggie fan and watched every home and most away games you played at UCD and you are one of the best to ever play for the AGS !
Great analysis and video! This Bears fan for one appreciates you pointing out mistakes and not sugarcoating them. Continue to keep it 100% and keep up the great work!
29:50 he said in a presser after that he was holding the safety there with his eyes since he had DJ 1v1 with a backer. I dont think he was reading it left to right
ur the best. thanks for not giving a F about what other people think and calling it how u see it. we all see it too and its nice to not feel crazy
Kmet said on the radio Caleb was looking off the safety because they saw a linebacker on DJ presnap.
@@dustincarlson2230 yep I figured, bet move tbh
1, this isn't QB school, this is NFL O school 101. Reminds me of how Madden would do replay and color during games. 2, go back and watch Odunze on that Swift TD run, he's celebrating also. The Rookies were happy for Swift.
At 8:00 the penalty was NOT on DJ Moore. It was on Darnell Wright (RT) for not being on the line of scrimmage
By the way! Excellent work! I absolutely LOVEEE your breakdowns bro!
At 8:00 it was against 58 for being lined up too far off the LoS.
Enjoyed this more than the original game !
Dj moore looking like chase claypool from last year. At this point I just sympathize with the WRs if it’s happened twice.
On the bright side 85 is looking a lot better this year. Looks like the new OC uses him more JT?
Except Chase Claypool has been a problem on every team and is currently unemployed.
Hey great show. As a bears fine I like the focus on Moore's effort and Allen's slow wheels perhaps effort as well.
Love DJ but man he just looks dejected every. single. play. he’s banged up sure (2 weeks now where he limps after a play) but come on man! Body language and effort no good, it’s not enough to go into an interview the day after and blame himself, just fix it!!
He's a Debbie Downer
Dude is still trying to put the ego down after a career year and barely getting the ball this season let alone 1 td in 4 games.
Maybe we should trade him to Pittsburgh so he can be with the qb he wants to play with, it’s very obvious he doesn’t want to be here🤦🏼♂️
You’re reading way too much into this shit
@shanedoty54 if he didn't want to be here he wouldn't have signed the extension
It look like CW is thinking to much or there is a chemistry issue. Maybe both but here is the fix. Him and the wr need to go and hang out and run concepts on the field after practice.
Williams should have sat two years behind Bagent to learn, or better yet Poles not have taken Williams and traded back for the haul.
Lol you do know Washington O line isn’t that good either right ? Daniels just makes quick reads and gets rid of the ball faster
Absolutely love the analysis and your passion!
Braxton at this point is a hazard for Caleb! He's definitely been on roller skates of lAte as well as Coleman Sheldon!
Damn I don't think I have caught one this early after upload lol
Thank you JT
2:34 I completely agree and for some reason Shane love doing TE screens for some reason and be having worse ppl blocking for them. Lucky we didn’t see Carter as one of them blocker
Everything you point out makes perfect sense; this could have been a Bears blowout win. The Bears really should hire you to work with or be the OC. The focus you made on Caleb's celebration of Swift's touchdown run, so instructive; This guy is no prima donna, he just wants to win. Glad he's on my team.
I agree about Moore, he needs to give full effort
Then be ready for a rerun of this next season as the Bears is have new coaching staff and revamp their O-Line.
Awesome video
Great job JT on this one
As a bears fan it is the saddest thing to watch our offense with all of the weapons fail because play calling and offensive line play
finally respecting our boy
On the dj touchdown. He always knew he was going to dj based on the defensive alignment. No safety help up top. Caleb held the safety by looking left but dj was always supposed to get that ball.
Good breakdown my guy
Braxton Jones is a backup tackle at best
The whole line except RT needs to be replaced in offseason
Best hat yet. Hands down. Soft grey with white logo. Noted.
Caleb is a beast on Madden! I unlocked xfactor abilities with him 😅
23:40 I think the center and left guard and 85's route turn blocked Caleb's vision of the flat footed safety.
I think on the TD, its a delayed release (slow intentional) to give time for Caleb to read left to right
JT you remember the scene in Beverly Hills cop When the Black detective tells Eddie Murphy we’re not gonna fall for the banana in the tailpipe
On the short toss to Roschon the penalty was called on the RT D. Wright for not being on the line, not DJ. I watched the game.
Very good analysis!
Been waiting thank you JT
I am a big fan of DJ Moore. Heck, he's my gf's favorite player, but his effort has been brutal to watch this year.
"He's tailpipin' the dude" Lol.
On the TD pass, it looks more to me like he's 1st looking at Odunze on the corner fade rather than Kmet.
On that first play, I think the decision not to have 15 run a go killed it. 4's block was further up field and if 15 takes him may away, then you give 85 a chance to make a 1-on-1 play. Less parts to fail.
Will a longer version be available via Patreon?
I've been a Patron for a while-I think I've only ever seen him do long/short in the playoffs.
On the last play of the game, I thnk they told him not to pass the ball just to make sure the clock does not stop. It was playing scared.
Yes.... With under 2 minutes no BS pitches or bubbles and especially late.
Wassup JT love the Qb School
@@rapgodmaster6592 He's a professional. If he's upset and letting that affect his play, that's a him problem.
this is the keenan and dj slam show....
Produced by Ryan Poles and directed by Matt Eberflus.
They mostly deserve it.
Well deserved
They getting paid a lot of money and it’s like they’ve both dropped in quality from last season
He's getting their bit by bit!! It takes time!
The first play could have easily been Kmet go and sit in the open field and convert a first. He would have been open by a mile.
26:55 , Kmet is just rolling around on the floor.
He’s been consistently inaccurate.
9:22 DJ saw the flag and knew it was coming back (it was on Wright, not DJ). Thats why he stopped blocking. Not a good look, but it wasn’t a live productive play.
I am looking forward to games 9-17 when they all have more reps together and have worked out many of the kinks.
Its night and day watching the offensive playcalling from the commanders vs the bears
I’ll still take taking the check down to Kmet for a first down then a lot of the missed passes I’ve had to watch. It’s a miss on the big play for sure but it’s at least an improvement and I’ll take growth on positive results rather than trying to teach from absolute negatives.
The Bear players are very glad JT is not in the film room. They wouldn't be able to sit for weeks after chewing their ass out.
And there’s the problem. Bears coaching staff doesn’t have the stones to call out the players.
@@JackF0372 it's literally the opposite the players had to chew out waldron... shit is sad.
Hey it wasn’t disgust as he was watching our offense. A win is a win
I know you’ve done a lot of Sam Darnold videos this season, but you should really make a video on his game this week. His touchdown to Jefferson was one of the most beautifully placed passes this season, and I just want to hear your thoughts on it
The more people ask for
It that means he will do it but just do it on Patreon so he can
Make yall pay. He did that with fields and bout to start doing it with Caleb
Waiting for that Goff & Geno breakdown 👑
I’m a Bears fan and fairly new to football and these videos help me a lot to not only understand the game more but also to get the full context on things that aren’t so evident on the broadcast.
Funny, watching this video really illustrates the amount of holding the Rams DB's got away with during the game.
IF THERES THAT MANY GUYS LACKING EFFORT THE COACHES ARE TO BLAME!
GUYS!
The OC knows what CALEB can and can't do right now.
Some of these screens and quit throws are designed to help a ROOKIE!
Please keep that in mind.
At 28 Caleb said he knew it was Moore vs a backer so he wanted to give Moore a shot
Eberflus made comments about Caleb needing to protect the football after last week. 100% that’s why he turned down those throws
That’s not a risky throw
That was a wide open throw any legit NFL QB should be able to make
If the Bears dont take atleast 2 Oline in the first 3 rounds of the draft in 2025 im done...
