The narrator is basically trying to talk a catholic girl (or woman? I’ve always pictured them both as being in high school.) into sleeping with him. I would say he’s trying to seduce her but he doesn’t even pretend to be in love or attracted to her. As a Christian I don’t like the message - but the music is incredibly catchy and the lyrics superbly written. It’s a very clever song that will stick with you for days - but you didn’t hear that from me! 🤦♀🤷♀
