The All Kerala Bank Retirees Forum has urged the Ministry of Finance to update basic pension and substantially increase family pension in accordance with the Bank Employees Pension Regulation.
Whenever a demand for updating pension and improving family pension was raised , the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and the Ministry of Finance argued that any tilt in the pension scheme would adversely affect the pension corpus fund.
However, figures collected relating to retirements from banks during the next five years from March 31, 2019, showed that the cost of pension would be drastically reduced, said K.T. Babu, vice president of the forum.
He said the employees who had joined service from April 1, 2010, were out of the ambit of pension regulations of 1995 as they were covered by the National Pension System (NPS).

Wonderful analysis...I dont think anybody would have explained in such a simple language and in detail. Indeed very clear and explanatory. This is very much required since non banking personnel who are not aware of these details are of the opinion that bank retirees are already paid huge pension. True sir. I paid 156% extra on bank's PF contribution for getting the benefit of pension. The facts mentioned by you are 150% correct.

Thank you Nageswar garu. It is 100% true that the pension updation was not done. It is also true that the GM retired in 2002 retired were getting 50% less of the clerk who retired in 2019. It is really petiable condition. Why government is not neglecting the poor pensioners. As you rightly said that government is not paying from their budget then why not taking interest. We are fighting for it since long. After 2030 is the government want to merge the fund to govt account. Hat's off to you sir.

Plz make a video on bankers wage revision. In every settlement on an average it will be delayed for 2.5 years. Till now 2.5*10=25 years bps has happened (delayed). In 50 years banks have paid timely salary only for 25 years. Remaining 25 years they have paid depreciated Rupee (salary) by deducting tax and levy 2% in arrears. Plz do make a video on this sir.
Bank employees are indebted very much to prof. Nageswara Rao Garu for his excellent analysis of the situation. It is shameful for the govt to delay the decision and try to loot the bank employees hard earned money. There is no expenditure to be incurred by govt. on updation pension.

బ్యాంక్ కొలువు అంటే చాలా మందిలో ఉన్న అభిప్రాయం.. వాళ్ళకేమి బ్యాంక్ లో ఉద్యోగం హాయిగా ఏసీలో కూర్చుని అలా ఇలా పనిచేయకుండా తిరుగుతారు అనుకుంటారు.. బ్యాంక్ లో మనం చూసే కళ్ళు కూడా అలాంటి భావననే కలిగిస్తుంది.. కానీ ఇప్పుడు బ్యాంక్ కొలువు అంటే వద్దు దేవుడా అంటున్నారు.. కారణం టెక్నాలజీ వచ్చాకా కొలువుల జాతర తగ్గి.. ఉన్నవారితో ముగ్గురు చేసే పని చేయిస్తున్నారు.. ఉదయం వెళితే రాత్రి ఇంతకు ఇంటికి వెళతాడో తెలియదు.. ఒక టైం అనేది వారికి లేదు.. దంపతులు ఇద్దరూ బ్యాంక్ ఉద్యోగులు అయితే వారి బాధ చెప్పలేనిది.. ఒకనాడు కాలర్ ఎగరేసుకు తిరిగే బ్యాంక్ కొలువు.. నేడు కనీసం కాలర్ మడచుకునే సమయం ఉడటం లేదు.. ఒకరు చేసే పనిని విమర్శించడం చాలా తేలిక.. కానీ అతను ఆ ఉద్యోగం సంపాదించడం వెనుక పడ్డ కష్టం, పడుతున్న నరకం చూడాలి అంటే ఒక్కసారి.. బ్యాంక్ కోచింగ్ సెంటర్ దగ్గరకు వెళ్లి వారిని కదిలించండి మీకే అర్థం అవుతుంది..

పేద పిల్లలను ఉన్నత చదువులు చదివించి మంచి ఉద్యోగాల్లో స్థిరపడేలా చేయాలనేది శ్రీధర్ లక్ష్యం. లాక్డౌన్లో ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా ఆయన ముగ్గురు చిన్నారులను చేరదీసి పాఠాలు చెప్పడం ప్రారంభించారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఆ సంఖ్య 25 మంది విద్యార్థులు, నలుగురు టీచర్లకు చేరింది. ఆ విద్యార్థులందరికీ ఉచితంగా ఆహారం అందిస్తూ తరగతులు చెప్పిస్తున్నారు.
ఇప్పుడు అది ఇక ఎంతమాత్రం ప్రయోగం కాదని శ్రీధర్ వెంబు చెబుతున్నారు. త్వరలో ఆయన సరికొత్త ఎడ్యుకేషన్ స్టార్టప్ను ప్రారంభించడానికి సిద్ధమయ్యారు. శ్రీధర్ అంచనా ప్రకారం.. రాబోయే కొన్నేళ్లలో తన స్టార్టప్ ద్వారా రూరల్ ఇండియాలో 8,000 టెక్నాలజీ ఉద్యోగాలు వస్తాయని భావిస్తున్నారు. అంతేకాదు, ఇకపై గ్రామాలు పట్టణాలకే ప్రపంచ స్థాయి సేవలు అందించే విధంగా ఎదుగుతాయని విశ్వాసం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.
పేద పిల్లలకు నాణ్యమైన విద్యను అందించమే కాకుండా అత్యాధునిక వసతులో హాస్పిటళ్లు నిర్మించడం, సాగునీటిని అందించడం, మార్కెట్లు, నైపుణ్య కేంద్రాల ఏర్పాటు స్థాపించాలని శ్రీధర్ లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్నారు. ఆవిధంగా ఆయన తాను పుట్టిన గడ్డ రుణం తీర్చుకోవాలని భావిస్తున్నారు.
ప్రేమ లక్ష్మీనారాయణ్ అనే వైద్యురాలు ట్విటర్ ద్వారా ఈ వివరాలన్నీ తెలిపారు. శ్రీధర్ వెంబు ఉదారతను పొగుడుతూ ఆమె వరుస ట్వీట్లు చేశారు. ఆమె చేసిన ట్వీట్ ఇప్పుడు వైరల్గా మారిందతి. శ్రీధర్ గొప్పదనాన్ని కీర్తిస్తూ చాలా మంది నెటిజన్లు కామెంట్లు పెడుతున్నారు. కొంత మంది తాము చేస్తున్న చిన్న చిన్న మంచి పనుల గురించి వివరించారు.

Every time for new settlement it takes 2 to 3 years to revise. That too a little increase of 15% is awarded. Where as central and state government staff are getting 40 to 60% and up to that extent basic is effected.
But in case of bank settlements a lumsum amount is fixed and from that only all benefites to be distributed.
And as Sir told no revision / updation of pension. Only working staff are benefitted. When compared to govt staff salaries bankers wages are in bottom level.
This is the present position reg bankers wages.

Nageswar garu, u hv not noted these points. 1 from 1993 onwards partially and from 2010 fully Banks r relieved of frm Management PF contribution expenditure thus saved '000s of crores that cumulative now to >a lakh crore, in lieu of that to cr. to Pension Fund every year. Verify frm 1995 & 1996 ÷ 2010 & 2011 balance sheets how much PF burden vanished @1 go. 2.for 2nd Pension option 2010 banks recovered PF with 56% addl (say as interest) but not given pension with retrospective effect frm dt. Of retirement and frm 2010 only thus postponing commutation restoration liability also of past retirees. 3.for last few years some weak banks on losses o/a of NPA write offs, adjusting Pension Funds to loss accounts to show better Bal.sheet. PNB episode a case in point. 4.Pension Fund as a Trust Fund, the last rupee of Fund to be utilised for Bank Pensioners only by apportioning in last stages, but seems the Govt & Banks already eyeing on this lakhs of crores of pension funds as a booty to be pillaged in 2030 like recent grabbing of RBI reserves by Cent. GOVT. 5.the IBA & DFS plea of insuffiency of Funds for updation for which Employees Unions also add their tunes - that the more pathetic for Bank Pensioners than IBA DFS stance - in that case Banks r ethically and per Pension Regulations(which say annual acturial valuation) bound to contribute in lieu of 'not contributing' for last 25/10 years since 1995/2010 against savings of PF expenses all these years.

Even working officers and employees are feeling the same as their pay scales, allowances, working conditions never been improved t par with PAY COMMISSION for CENTRAL GOVT EMPLOYEES.

కనీస ఉద్యోగ భద్రత లేని ప్రైవేట్ ఉద్యోగాలు ఎన్ని లక్షలు సృష్టిస్తే మాత్రం ఏం ప్రయోజనం? కానీ ఇప్పటి ప్రభుత్వాలు కార్పొరేట్ కంపెనీ లను ప్రోత్సహించి వేల సంఖ్యలో ఉద్యోగాలు కల్పించాం అని చెప్పుకుంటున్నాయి. ఆ ఉద్యోగాల్లో చేరిన వాళ్ళు ఏ మేరకు జీవితంలో స్థిర పడ్డారు అని అడిగే వారు లేరు. కేవలం ఆరు నెలల లాక్ డౌన్ వల్ల ఎంతో మంది ప్రైవేట్ ఉద్యోగులు ఉపాధి కోల్పోయారు.
