My full English cover of 'Teardrop', Yu-Gi-Oh! GX's third opening song. Originally sung by BOWL. Translyrics by Hiltonium.
Teardrop is probably my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! GX opening. I absolutely love this song and this was a pleasure to sing. This cover really couldn't have been the same without Hiltonium, who really outdid himself on the lyrics. If you like what you hear, be sure to check out his channel! The original version was sad but understanding what it meant makes you want to cry.
the fact it says at the end "until you can lift your head up and dry of those tears that you shed,I will sing this song my friend" reminds me of those friends who will stay with you until you are up on your own 2 feet and the beginning asking if that smile is true is like when I go to school sad and i have to wear a mask to hide my true emotions and put a smile on so all in all this song is just wow

@@tking2199 I mean he literally is. It is abundandly clear in the sub, that Judai is drawn to Johan because he is a natural born leader and he can naturally do the things Judai is usually forced to do because his friends always rely on him. He's the one person Judai himself can rely on.

My favourite GX Opening. Never realize that the song has deep meaning. So sad
Man thanks for this. I teared up a bit but it's all good. I love this song the most because during the time this arc aired I was in my depression. This arc of GX helped me because I could relate to Judai in some ways. And it helped me move forward. Thanks for making this version especially since it captures the original Japanese version so well. It also inspires me to improve my singing voice.

Does it make sense that my life is this song now? I mean I started college in January 2018, and you could say my life was represented by the English version of the Yu-Gi-Oh GX song. Now, I've met and lost a lot of people, some of which might have been able to help in the healing process (I'm still trying to recover from everything in High School, and that all happened three years ago). But now everything just seems darker now. Not just cause it's 4:44 AM where I am, but because of the people I've had to leave.
Be strong, bro, just like all Jaden's Friends and himself in the darkness of season 3. You'll be wise and stronger after your dark moments, It's the art of living.

Teardrop definitely a fitting title for the 3rd season of gx. Since it's practically symbolic showing that things onwards for Jaden and his friends that things would no longer be like they were before. Especially considering Jaden changes especially in season 4 when if I remember correctly he lost the enjoyment he had before in dueling. And ignores his friends

The more I hear the song it sounds like it can interpreted for Jaden & Jessie or Jaden & Yubel.
I see both but certain lines SOUND LIKE YUBEL LINES
But personally when I hear "Soon I as I pick the pieces they then start to cut my hands en masse just like shattered glass" is Jaden painfully understanding Yubel's pain bit by bit. "That had pulled me to shore when life was all black, in our if you lose your place you can cry for you shouldn't hold it back"
This sounds more Yubel's bond to keep trying to strive for Jaden to remember the fun they had in the past but also to painfully grieve/vent in the present Yubel has been flowing his pain out without anyone really understanding or acknowledging to say it's ok to let it out as he was neglected. (Ofc his other actions like revenge were unacceptable) Jaden is Hao he is The Reincarnation of The Supreme King, Yubel sacrificed his mortal body to incarnate as a Duel Spirit to become Hao's Guardian because Yubel was The OG Hao's BFF.
"For my heartached all the pain you took how you said you would never let me hurt" sounds to me Yubel trying not be an Omen on Jaden being his protector just being an overflown sponge that can't take anymore aka pain, suffering, unstable grief. Point he is BFF that does his best so Jaden truly never feels harm.
It's weird but that's how I see it though.
