- On the last day of my week break in Lancashire, I decided to head to a station I haven't been to for at least a year, Carnforth. I stayed here for around two hours and managed to get quite a few significant sights during my stay. During the visit, I also managed to get the last Cumbrian Coast training run with Class 37's before the full run on the Monday. This also is the first video I have posted since West Coast Railway's had it's track access ban lifted.
First of all, we see Brush 47760 shunting the rest of the coaching stock into the back loop at Carnforth Station. Then we see 47760 with 46599 'Galatea' + support coach couple back up onto the stock.
We then see 46599 'Galatea' with 47760 reversing out of the back loop and into the Carnforth D&UGL line where we also see 66551 also in the D&UGL. This was awaiting time due to it being so early.
We see Freightliner Fred 66551 depart the D&UGL working Fiddlers Ferry P Stn Flhh to Carlisle N.Y. empty coal.
Arriving with the last full training run of the Cumbrian Coast Express loco hauled, 37423/609 arrive into Carnforth Platform 1 having worked Carlisle Kingmoor Sdg(Drs) to Carnforth D&U.G.L. They then depart off to the D&UGL line.
Freightliner 66514 speeds past Carnforth working Fiddlers Ferry P Stn Flhh to Carlisle N.Y. empty coal once again. At the same time, 47760 departs with 45699 'Galatea' working 5Z73 Carnforth Steamtown to York Holgate Siding (Gbrf).
37609 leading this time (423 at the rear) departs Carnforth D&UGL working Carnforth D&U.G.L. to Carlisle Kingmoor Sdg(Drs). This eventually cancelled at Barrow-in-Furness.
Another very enjoyable video Greg, I've subbed to it channel. Cheers,, Ken
