I love The Cable Guy. I think the film wouldn't benefited much more if it were released around 2010 once the internet really started taking over. Otherwise though, I love Jim Carrey's performance as Chip Douglas/The Cable Guy. First of all, I thought it was fantastic and almost genius to have the character speak with a lisp. Second, Matthew Broderick had a really good performance playing off The Cable Guy trying to help him in some ways, but realizing that The Cable Guy was a bit too insane to really help. I really enjoyed Jack Black's smaller, but still somewhat important role in the film too because not only was he the funny, comedic relief to Matthew Broderick's character, he also served as a plot-line to help Matthew Broderick's character figure out why The Cable Guy does what he does and who The Cable Guy really is. Overall, I think it was a very solid dark comedy, and my favorite dark comedy of all time, but definitely would've benefited more if it were released closer to when the internet was really starting to take over. I'd give The Cable Guy an 8.5/10.

I love this movie Jim Carrey acts funny in some parts but other parts he acts like a psychopath 😑🫢
