midis work with Synthesia. You can download the game yourself; it's pretty small. All it does is read a .midi file you select, and 'plays' it on the piano for you. You can connect a digital piano to your computer and actually play the game. Otherwise, you can just use it as a visual learning tool. There are more details about Synthesia at their website in the video description. I'll post the video of Yin no Piano sometime in today or tomorrow.
you need a piano of some sort to play at all since its the instrument to play the song. but if you have a piano keyboard you can connect it to your computer which opens up more useful features on synthesia. all you have to do is put the .midi file into the synthesia music folder. or any folder you want and go to settings in synthesia and tell it to search that folder for music
It takes a lot of time (which I don't really have much of nowadays T_T) so I'm ever grateful that I stumbled across this on youtube! :D Now all the midi files I planned to spend hours on end arranging can be done in mere minutes!

But from what I see, the versions sung by the voice actors are called "Dear You" and the versions that are made by Dai and its remixes are simply called "You." I'm seeing this information from the titles of the songs in the booklets of the Higurashi albums.
this piece is actually pretty easy and i would recommend any beginners to try it out. it's pretty slow paced and the left hand is just a loop of the exact same thing over and over again (it changes once but then loops that)
The fingering for 2:12 - 2:14 was pretty tricky imo. I had major issues playing it for a while. Then again, I learned Pico's transcription of the song, so that part is a little bit different and easier imo. I'd say practice makes perfect. I kept at it every so often and I can play that part pretty well now. If you look at Pico's version in the video description, it has another variation of that part that you could probably try and learn.
