romeo is so good and relaxed when he is playing.you watched him and it makes you believe that what he is playing is manageable.then you grab you guitar and you start feeling like its your first week of learning guitar.
I didn’t know teemu till recently joined Megadeth I thought how good this guy be better than kiko I’m thinking now he might be. Extraordinary talent. Looking forward to hear what he can add to the album.
Michael Romeo is not just a insane shredder. He is a compete musican. Teemu is technically on this level. If he is in regard to musicality at that stage... I do not know.
Playing fast is one thing, playing fast while maintaining a sort of melodic theme is another. That’s why Dave Mustaine will always be #1 on my list. I’ve never seen anyone else write such intricate and detailed/complex thrash riffs, and solos. The musicianship displayed in Megadeth’s “Rust in Peace” album is hands down best all time thrash metal album ever created in my humble opinion. 🤘
This a is a fine list of 5 hyper shredders. Romeo sits on top, not really for the shred, but because the musical context in which he shreds is the finest metal writing ever done and he wrote them!
Romeo's last two albums are 100% great music, not just flurries of noodling. I respect all their abilities but the artist that can make great music and not just exercises sound best to me. Like Gary Moore, the phrasing was top notch and emotional
Id have 1. Shawn Lane (fastest + most diverse) ,2. Jason Becker (he could play some of this stuff while doing yoyo with the other hand) , 3. Yngwie (try playing his strat you probably cant, he wrote and did an entire concert with the Japanese Philharmonic live and basically didnt play a single note off, guy is a genius) 4. Dimebag (complete mastery as natural as the devil in Robert Johnson) and 5. MAB the most humble and wildly talented ambidextrous shred monster of all time. Honourable mention: The Great Kat easily the best female guitarist and severely underrated. Your list is full of aces, I enjoyed watching.
I always send people to listen to inferi. Malcolm Pugh and Mike Low are unmatched in technicality and feel. Sure they’re in technical deathmetal but you won’t be disappointed checking them out. It’ll be like hearing Necrophagist for the first time.
Teemu Mäntysaari is way better than all of them on this list. They are all good but non of them do not have the Teemu knowledge and technique. There are way better guitarists out there like Chris broderick or AndyJames or Igor Paspalj and much more that we are going to need days to named them all, and sadly they are all very underrated
Further proof that many Westerners (media, channel, rock/metal news) actually kinda purposely ignore talent from the rest of the world, especially from country like Japan that has many established shredders with proven catalogue & portfolio. Just one name, one name would smoke everyone else in this list. Syu of Galneryus. Speed, feeling, great songwriting, neoclassical element, clean playing etc. 🤷🤷🤷
*LOL @ choosing Bernth in the top of anything. His body of work is scant. Also, every shredder is derivative of Yngwie Malmsteen.* Yes: Michael Romeo, Syu, Takayoshi Ohmura. But how can the guy have Kelly Simonz, who is a killer, without Yngwie Malmsteen since Kelly is an Yngwie disciple? Romeo is as well for that matter. *Where are?* Atsushi Yokozeki (solo, The Bronx, Lance of Thrill) Hideaki Nakama (solo) Hiroya Fukuda (Anthem) Hiroyas "Iron" Chino (Iron Attack!, Lightning) Isao Nakayama (Cerveteri) Katsu Ohta (Ark Storm) Kikyo Oikawa (Mardelas) Kouta (Thousand Eyes, Dragon Eyes, ex-Thousand Leaves) Norifumi Shima (Concerto Moon) Satoshi Katada (solo) Toru Noya (Thosuand Eyes, Tears of Tragedy)
@@TheCyberMantis Hey CM. I believe I have seen you around the Internet. Midori and Miyako are fun to be sure. You can always name more guitarrists, yet Teemu is a beast, he never fails. I came here because of Teemu.
Romeo deserves it... one of the most underrated guitarist
romeo is so good and relaxed when he is playing.you watched him and it makes you believe that what he is playing is manageable.then you grab you guitar and you start feeling like its your first week of learning guitar.
The video of Jeff Loomis playing perpetual burn live in 1 perfect take blew my mind. He's great and so is my hero Jason Becker.
I didn’t know teemu till recently joined Megadeth I thought how good this guy be better than kiko I’m thinking now he might be. Extraordinary talent. Looking forward to hear what he can add to the album.
James Murphy is at the top of my list. His contributions to metal music are significant. Has been my favorite guitarist since '93.
Absolutely \m/
Agreed!
Teemu 🤘
I would love to see Teemu and Kiko playing together in a new band.
Michael Romeo is not just a insane shredder. He is a compete musican.
Teemu is technically on this level. If he is in regard to musicality at that stage... I do not know.
Teemu 😍

Christian Muenzner should be here
What about Rusty Cooley! He’s a guitar shred monster
The BEST GUITAR TEACHER anyone could ever have...but FAST AND NOT MUSICAL!!!
Romeo's last two albums are 100% great music, not just flurries of noodling. I respect all their abilities but the artist that can make great music and not just exercises sound best to me. Like Gary Moore, the phrasing was top notch and emotional

Awesome
Thanks for watching 👍
Cant take anyone seriously with dreds. Except POD😂
Alexi Laiho and Greg Burgess.
the first four is the breakfast of the last
Kiko is better than the first four. Only Romeo I think is a little more technical than Kiko. I'm not talking about speed.
Jason Richardson is a mercenary with incredible skill second to none
A name that is So underrated but forgotten is Jacky Vincent!!!!
Bernth is my favorite
Tom fountainhead is another one to have a look at
Michael Romeo . None are close
Yngwie Malmsteen have greatest speed talen among them.
Andy James ?!?!?!
Luis Kalil
*LOL @ choosing Bernth in the top of anything. His body of work is scant. Also, every shredder is derivative of Yngwie Malmsteen.*
Yes: Michael Romeo, Syu, Takayoshi Ohmura.
But how can the guy have Kelly Simonz, who is a killer, without Yngwie Malmsteen since Kelly is an Yngwie disciple? Romeo is as well for that matter.
*Where are?*
Atsushi Yokozeki (solo, The Bronx, Lance of Thrill)
Hideaki Nakama (solo)
Hiroya Fukuda (Anthem)
Hiroyas "Iron" Chino (Iron Attack!, Lightning)
Isao Nakayama (Cerveteri)
Katsu Ohta (Ark Storm)
Kikyo Oikawa (Mardelas)
Kouta (Thousand Eyes, Dragon Eyes, ex-Thousand Leaves)
Norifumi Shima (Concerto Moon)
Satoshi Katada (solo)
Toru Noya (Thosuand Eyes, Tears of Tragedy)
I agree in relation to Bernth. There are many others I would prefere.
If you are going to mention Japanese players, then I will need to give a shout-out to my favorites: Midori and Miyako from LOVEBITES! 🥰
@@TheCyberMantis Hey CM. I believe I have seen you around the Internet.

BERNTH 💪🏻🤘🏻
Booee man actualizate un poco por favor

Why all this useless ranks 😂😂😂
MGK is goat
Machine Gun Kelly?😟🤨
You dudes need to listen to more music 😂😂
Speed aside. Bernth is awful. Anyone can get to point when you plsy stuff fast. It doesnt mean good.
Orbitoclast??
Bernth seems arrogant as well
Totally agree! I love his approach to learning and isolating technique. But he has absolutely zero feel and soul in his playing.
Bernth is solid
as usual, dogshit boomers piling on someone much better than they could ever be bc they do youtube
