You explain the pattern very well. I’m confident a beginner with a little experience can follow your instructions. I’ve crocheted 52 years but I can still remember how thrilling it is to complete a project. It’s wonderful to see a great teacher !
I simply had to try this hug shrug pattern - used 100% cotton yarn. I was surprised at how quickly it worked up, is comfortable - loving the cacoon feel. Will be gifting this one to my sister, and am planning to start one maybe even two for myself. Thank you for this tutorial and keep them coming. Blessings from a not so sunny South Africa (getting a bit nippy here as we approach winter)
Hi Christa 👋🏿love the hug shrug‼️‼️. Pretty yarn. I have to make that one too n have a couple of friends who'd love the shrug. They are crochet worthy 😊😊. I'm still working on your cape and love it. I went down a hook size and it has a woven look. I'll post so you can see it. Great shrug tutorial and just in time for Fall. Temps starting to drop here in Albuquerque. Thanks for the shrug👍🏽👍🏽
Hi Becky! Yes! Ribbon yarn is amazing! This one is officially called Cotton Tape... it is like a mesh tube. Almost like a fishing net! Would love to see the yarn you choose! Am sure it will be amazing!! Chat soon, Christa. xx!
Absolute beautiful I tried this from another vid but it was not nearly as understandable as yours. Thanks for providing clear easy to follow instructions.
Hi Pinks! Thanks so much! So happy that it made sense. I always wonder if I am repeating myself too much, or skipping ahead to quickly! Chat soon, Christa. xx!
I just made one for my great granddaughter. It s so cute! Your video was great, (mind you I did have to do a rerun a couple of times ) but once I got on to it it was super easy. Thanks so much ... it worked up really fast. I hope she likes it as well . It is to go with a little pillow case dress I made her.
Hi, Greg C!! Great idea! I have an Infinity scarf for beginners here: ruclips.net/video/tT5-JdRV6Cs/видео.html Hope that helps in the meantime? Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
LOVE this!! ❤💙💚💜💛 Sooooooooo glad I watched your tutorial as I just assumed you crocheted a rectangle & joined it up after!! 😞 I was just gonna do that! 😲 We all know what happens when you ass..u..me something! Ha ha! 😆 This has just gone near the top of my to do crochet projects!! Yay! 💕 Perfect for me as sweaters & cardigans are often too hot for me! 👍👏👍
Don't take this the wrong way, please - but the part I liked the best was where you cut your yarn too soon, and had to do a little fudging! Good to know that even the best of us pull an "oopsie" once in a while! I love this shrug - a great idea for Christmas gifts!! Thanks!!
I have a few of these! I have made 3 in regular acrylic (one in off white, one in beige, and one in light blue). I also made a navy in eyelash chenille, and a yellow one in worsted weight chenille. You can use any yarn that you is soft enough to be worn. Hope that helps? Chat soon, Christa. xx!
Thank you for the ideas. Im amazed you understood what I had written. I do write better than that. Just a question How is it to live in Nairobi? Is there any trouble? Hope im not prying 😊 vimxx
Hi Vimala! No worries at all! Nairobi is fantastic! I moved here from Vancouver Canada about 17 years ago, and love it to bits! I talk a bit about it in the Crochet Vlogs, if you are interested in it. ruclips.net/p/PLpolLUf9SLHjdjLXDrWnIcXCXrO75n9GT
@@SecretYarnery is and next is the party cardie in purple pink and blue ombre... Just need foe fur in purple pink and blue... LOL my favorite colors....😂 LOL 😂
Rebekah Austin I feel in love with a ombré yarn in a gold color way. It’s been discontinued so unfortunately I don’t think I have enough for this design. However, I think an ombré will work wonderfully.
I don’t understand why you like to turn your work because it messes up the pattern. The backside of crochet isn’t all that pretty. Whenever I make a shawl that has to be turned, I do a row of single crochet so I don’t have to turn it. I do like your idea of this wrap, super cute, on the front. 🤗

Nice and easy pattern 👌I'm relearning and learn some new and old stitches...since 2021 and lost alot of memory of crocheting...thk you.
Oh I am so glad, Pam Rapp! Thank you!! 🌸🌼🌺
Beautiful stitch and I love the yarn you used. Looks like ribbon. Thank you so much for this tutorial!!
Glad you enjoyed it, C Martin!! xx
Is this the cotton yarn by Ice?
You are so talented! Thank you so much for sharing your talents and having the patience in putting these videos together. 😊

Your so down to earth , just like the rest of us, and I love this möbius shawl of yours...I’m about to start it !
Oh thank you so much, javazebl! xx
I love how you are showing me up close what your stitches look like as you go.
Oh thanks so much! So glad it was helpful to you, Lainey Wright! Thank you. 🌼🌸🌼
I've never crocheted with ribbon yarn. This is so pretty so I will run out to get yarn and make it. Thanks for sharing your talent.

How many grams of tape did you use for your size shrug? The Ice yarn is hard to come by especially the self striping in the US.
Thank you. I really like this one and the yarn you used is very pretty.
Thank you, Melissa Bivens! xx

Very enjoyable tutorial. I also love the colorway of the yarn. Thank you for sharing this tutorial.
Glad you like it, Linda Mitchell! Thank you!! xx
So beautiful work!! I'm newbie but I will try this one. Thanks for sharing!! :)
Hi Christa! I am just prepping to make this, and am curious what other borders you have done for this shrug? Thanks in advance!
A comforting hug to share with a friend❣
Stitch Itch
These would make a great gift for anyone especially someone going through a life crisis or trauma.
I love this! It’s like my Möbius cowl I am knitting but much easier! Thanks for sharing!
HURRAY!!!!
I watched several videos on möbius shawls and yours was the clearest and easiest for me to follow.
I love this but sadly it is too confusing at my skill level so I will save it.Thank you- I will try it again with the double crochet 🌸
My first one I did with just double crochet. It was easier - by a lot! ;) xx!
@@SecretYarneryWhere's the link to that one? I need SIMPLE
I am having trouble when I make the little turn.. I get lost! And I can't figure it out! It ends up without a turn🤔
What a pretty hug shrug and beautiful yarn with beautiful colours, I love it. Thank you for showing 💙
Thanks Tanja!
I loved it! It´s wonderful and I´ll try for sure. Thanks a lot
I am putting the border on mine, now, to get it ready not only to wear for this cooler weather but to, also, show in my next video. 💖
That's awesome, Friendly CrochetCreations! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺

How much yarn are we using for this beautiful piece of art?
It's beautiful!😀
I’m. Sorry I can’t follow after the second row. Do I have to turn my work every row? Please let me know. Thank you
Hi, @auroraguas6512!! Nope - you keep going around.
No turning. Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼

HI Christa, do you any of this yarn available for sale? Thanks Marion
I love this! Thank you
Yay! I was searching for a shrug that wasn't just DC, this is perfect! Do you know how many rows or just keep going until you run out of yarn?
Hi, Amber v!! Thank you! Yes - until you run out of yarn or it is wide enough to be comfortable. :) 🌻🌺🌼
Pourrais-je avoir les explications en français merci
Thank you
Oh I am so glad you liked it, Hala taha! Thanks!🌻🌺🌼
Where to you get your hook grips I have aluminium hooks thanks
I use Clover and Tulip hooks - all of them come with a built in grip that doesn't slip or wear down. LOVE them.
Those are the ergonomic hooks. I also have a few of them.
Making it in purple ombre...😍😻💖
