This new episode from Class 12 English presents the story A Respectable Woman in Nepali language. It is a story written by Kate Chopin whose birth name is Katherine O'Flaherty (February 8, 1851 - August 22, 1904). She was an American author who has authored multiple short stories and novels. Most of the scholars consider her as a forerunner of American 20th-century feminist authors. One of her most appreciated works include her 1899 novel The Awakening.
The American writer wrote ‘A Respectable Woman’ in 1894 and the interesting fact is that it was published in Vogue magazine that year. The story from the literature section is about a woman (Mrs Baroda) whose husband (Gaston) invites his old college friend (Gouvernail) to stay with them. She found her husband’s friend to be a man with reserved personality and got disappointed to find that he has nothing interesting like her husband says.
After knowing that Gouvernail was about to stay in their house for a week, she told her husband that she will leave the house and stay with her aunt until the guest returns. She was sitting outside on a bench and suddenly the guest appears with a cigar and join her quoting poetry to the night. Slowly, Mrs Baroda realized that Gouvernail was in a talkative mood and then he shared about his early college days with her spouse. She develops feeling to the new man which makes her feel confused about her feelings.
She felt to touch his face and whisper against him in a manner that if she was not a respectable woman. But she carries a reputed personality and was married, she decided to move away from her feelings. She didn’t share the feeling to her husband because she was a respectable woman although she wished to tell Gaston about her strange feelings towards Gouvernail. The following day, her husband found that she has already left the house and won’t come until the guest has left.
When her husband suggested that his friend Gouvernail would visit them again, she strongly opposed/. However, she took her step back on this and allowed Gaston invite Gouvernail to stay with them again. The story ended with Mrs Baroda kissing her husband and stating that she has overcome everything and she will be very nice to his friend Gouvernail.

In my view, Respectable means living within your self respect by making control or limitation on your act that leads to falling
of your dignity and self respect.
Mrs Baroda is a respectable women because she controls the feelings which out come from heart and making life without regret and accepts the society rules,regulation and culture.
Essay summary in points: Hope it help you😊 . 👌// --Mrs. Baroda is initially displeased when her husband's friend, Gouvernail, unexpectedly stays with them. Despite hearing good things about him, she feels an unexplained fascination with him. She decides to leave until he departs, feeling uncomfortable in his presence.
Late one night, Gouvernail encounters Mrs. Baroda and delivers a scarf from her husband. Despite their brief conversation, she feels drawn to him but restrains herself due to societal expectations. She leaves without notifying her husband.
Upon returning after Gouvernail's departure, Mrs. Baroda surprises her husband by accepting Gouvernail's visit within a year. She simply states that she has overcome her initial reservations and will treat him with respect.

It's a short story writer name Tim winton
Main character - young man and young women both are husband and wife .
Both shifted in new place - malborian suburb where European migrants stays .
Before they stayed at - outer suburb
Young women and man both feel irritated because their neighbours used to shout and disturb them... After some times they get along with their neighbours...
Characters =
young man - he stays in house and writes thesis tittle is ' The development of 20th century novel'.
Young women - she works in hospital
Mecedonian family - they are neighbours of young man and woman . There habit is to shout loudly and talk in screeming sound they keep on fighting by loud voice and it disturbs young man and woman they hate it. After this mecedonian family helps young man and woman to slaughter, plunk and dress.
Poland widower - he is an old man. He spends this most time doing same thing again and again. He spends this day by hammering nail into woods and then pull them out and he does same thing repeatedly and it disturbs young man who stays home all day writing thesis.
The little boy - he is neighbours kid and he urinates outside where ever he wants and his hair is shaved regularly.
There will be a married couple they shift in malborian suburb . When they see their neighbours they get irritated because in that area where they shifted is multicultural area where there are many cultures going on and young man and woman doesn't get along with them at first . Young couples house is an cottage and they feel like staying in Iligan cottage because there cottage is small and sealing is long . Neighbours customs ,culture when young couples see they feel awkward. Young couples feel lonely. Young women goes to hospital and work but young man stays in home all day writing thesis and mecedonian family feels different because they think wife goes to hospital work all day and husband stays in home peacefully writing thesis . Another neighbour who is Poland widower he stays in home and hammer into woods all day and pull in out and again hammer it . And this habit doesn't liked by young couples because it's very disturbing . And then atom session comes and young couples plant vegetables on garden they plant's cabbage, onion etc..
Neighbours keep on watching on that and they suggest young couples to how to do they teach to spacing, healing, and then one big women comes she has black eyes and she has butcher arm she seems so powerful she comes to young women and gift them garlic plants to plant in their garden. Young couples makes hen house they keep on making but it falls apart then there comes polish widower he helps young couples for making hen house mainly poland widower didn't even get invited by young couples for help he comes by himself and helps young couples . Then young couples feels nice because everyone is helping them by neighbour. At spring session comes mecedonian family tech how to slaughter, plunk , and dressing after all this young couples starts liking their neighbours and understanding their neighbours and in night time neighbours and couples share their story to themselves and then they start keeping meetings and share everything with each other and young couples feels proud of their neighbours. Young couples doesn't plan for pregnancy but in spring session young women gets pregnant after that neighbors gets really excited and becomes very happy for young couples they comes to visit their house with joy and celebrates. They offer help and support and suggest young women about pregnancy and Thier will be one old Italian women she offers name as well and another woman stitches clothes for upcoming baby of young couples. After some times young women give birth to a baby boy after hearing this neighbours comes to house for celebration and becomes really happy. After seeing this young man gets really emotional and starts crying because he never thought about their neighbours being so nice and he feels proud and becomes really happy. He realises the thesis he is writing 'The development of 20th century novel' everything this is happening different that's why the thesis is not prepaid he realises....✨

But the one she is explaining here is another story named as a respectable women and the one you describe here is a short story called "Neighbours"..

In my perception "Respectable women" often refers to those who uphold societal norms, exhibit moral integrity, and maintain a positive reputation.
Respectable women means who can be polite and make a self discipline toward.Never think negative and be positive make other positive.
Mrs boroda is fully respected women beacause being a human bening every people have attraction among oppositive people (but mrs boroda had loyality among Mr boroda )even she control her for not to attract on governail because of loyality so she is respectable woman❤️
