Great Video! CASE and New holland offer 6 way on the 4.2,5,7 ton mini excavators. I do enjoy the decibel difference in volvo compare to other machines

Also, the new Case are eurocomach so they should hopefully start offering triple booms on the smaller machines, it will be awesome!

Nice review. I bought a ecr50 last Spring and love it. I needed to stay under the CDL weight requirements or I would have bought the 58 for the wider cab. A few questions for you: Does the temperature knob for HVAC turn hard on yours? Mine does and there is no definite hard stop at the ends of travel, it just gets harder to turn. I didn’t get the angle blade and even so I still end up doing my finish grading over the back of the machine as the blade limits the amount of full pull grading too much, that would help you even more with that angle blade. It’s plenty stable, at least the 50 is as it shares the same X frame undercarriage. I would like a taller arm rest as well as I use my fingers over the top of the joysticks more so than grabbing the handles, but I have managed to get used to it. If you find a way to modify and extend them I would be interested. I like your cup holder solution, cheap but effective. I love the pedals for tracking, I place my feet next to the pedals and use the side flanges to track forward, it’s so comfortable and more precise than resting your feet on top of the pedals especially when its rough. How much does that Encon weigh? It looks super heavy, do you feel it being m,ore tipsy over the sides with that on there? Liked your video, I’ll be back to watch more.

This thing is too pretty to get it dirty! 😂. Also, I would be concerned with breaking the tilt rotator with heavy rocks where i typically work

    Did you run a Takeuchi tb260? I’ve narrowed it down to a kx057, tak tb260, or ECR58.

Was distance from your dealer the main reason why you switched from Kubota to Volvo?
Ive got a 057-4 and looking to add another machine in a few months. Volvo wants to get me into this machine but it doesn't seem as nice inside the cab.
Curious to learn why the switch.

Distance to deal was a lot of it, the kx57-5 is a very nice machine. I personally think this cab is more to my liking then the Kubota, less going on but lots of storage. also this machine weighs about 600lbs more so i get more lifting capacity for the tail swing. But to be honest I also would have been very happy with the Kubota so if your happy with your dealer on kubota I would say there is not strong reason to make the switch.

@villageearthwright gotcha. The Kubota has more counter weight out the back. I figured it would handle a tiltrotator better as well?
How do you find your new volvo with the extra weight in the front being as its almost a zero tail swing?

@@evanziemer1967 I luckily got to try out a 57-5 at a show just this last weekend set up with the saem 206b. I think my volvo handles it better even with the reduced tail swing. The 57 handled it fine for sure but I could feel a little bit more bounce when i reached out that i don't feel on my ecr58. Although some of that may be partly because the kubota just moves a bit faster.

I just replaced them with 1/2 bolts, i didn't like how the pin interacted with the engcon hose.
