What is 'w' in the last equation?? And for B31.3 what is the value of S?

Hi, Thanks for your comment. w is weight per unit length, it is the distributed load of the pipe incl. pipe, insulation and fluid weight. In ASME B31.3, S value not specified. There are some equations instead. But you can use Kellogg's for process piping.
