wtf Loki was literally the one to trigger ragnarok by putting surtur's crown thing in the flame. If you go far back enough to say Hela triggered it, then you might as well go back and say Odin triggered it by dying.
Telling Tarkin that the rebel base is on Coruscant would be such a power move. What are you going to do, Tarkin, blow up your own capital? I mean, he'd probably just do what he did in the movie, but still
The Thor Ragnarok question is worked really badly. Technically, Odin dying starts the events of Ragnarok. Also, one could argue with the discussion that Thor, Loki and Valkyrie have on the bridge when facing Hela that the only thing that can stop Hela is Ragarok, meaning it hasn't happened yet. So, in that context Loki initiates it by placing Surtur's crown on the Eternal Flame. If anything Hela doesn't want Ragnarok to happen at all. Why would she want the destruction of the thing that gives her the most power? Who is she.. a female version of Thanos from the comics?
Yup Loki reanimating Surtr is what causes Ragnarok. As Surtr destroying Asghard is what was described as "Ragnarok" in the beginning of the movie. You could argue that Hela was the main motivation behind causing it but she didn't trigger it. If Loki hadn't done anything Ragnarok wouldn't have happened.

"What am I a goblin banker?" was the best possible response to that questions.
The Cardcaptor Museum officially voices its approval.
13:56 that Captain Marvel is now called Shazam because Marvel was able to trademark it first.
Now that Allie is basically a daily grump, you guys should do Wheel of Fortune again with Allie as player 3
Please if Danny is getting more into vampires he should ABSOLUTELY watch What we do in the Shadows! You'll lave it!
Yes! Would be right up their alley, such a good show!
14:03 You know I never thought Goodnight Punpun would be mentioned in a game show turned video game
Your telling me. Imagine discovering the series through this game of all places.
@@averagehero1305 “Oh boy that sounds like a interesting and light hearted manga”
I think Dan took longer to read Moby Dick than watch ALL of Disney's catalogue.
"I'm not that far in one piece yet" isn't that literally in the intro 🤣
In theory, if you skipped the intro every time, they only mention it a handful of times in the first few dozen episodes. If you never really got into the series and habitually skip openings, it's possible to not remember.
Arin thinking Black Butler was from the 90's killed me
Yo Arin got me fucked up with not being far enough in One Piece to know who Gold Roger is 😂
I know I'm late to the video by like 10 months, but to answer your question about "Muff Tarkin", Star Wars doesn't make that joke lol...BUT there's a funny professional stage performance on youtube (free) by Team Starkid. their production is called "Ani: A Star Wars Parody" and they do in fact make that joke among other hilarities if you guys are interested ( or anyone else that sees this comment ).
that opening claymation was top notch
Me, a hardcore Black Butler fan; 90s???? bro nah. It was the early 2000s.
Me, a star wars fan who's way more into the animated shows than the movies; uhhhhh was it dantooine??? *gets it right* OH MY GOD HOW THE HELL DID I KNOW THAT-(i've literally only seen the movie a handful of times)
Me, who read a few of the Promised Neverland manga and is too broke to buy more: LEG. SHE BREAKS EMMA'S LEG SO SHE CAN'T RUN AWAY.
Me, during the One Piece question getting really excited:n GOLD D ROGER!!! GOLD D ROGER!!!
It is mentioned in the Clone Wars. ... Also, watching Dan and Arin struggle against this shit is now my favorite part of Game Grumps.
19:55
Arin: "I'm not that far in One Piece".
IT'S LITERALLY IN THE FIRST EPISODE'S VERY FIRST 10 SECONDS!
9:35 isn’t this wrong? Loki causes ragnarok right? He puts the crown in the eternal flame and then that starts ragnarok after Thor tells him to go to the vault?
EXACTLY WTF!!!
No. I'm a big marvel nerd and even I know it's Hela. SHE'S THE MAIN VILLAIN WHO KILLS EVERYONE. Loki actually HELPED Thor. WHY WOULD IT BE LOKI?!
The Fawcett Publications "Captain Marvel" is what's now just called Shazam, due to obvious name similarities with Marvel's Captain, but for a while they both had the same name ;)
28:47 When Dan said 'We both chose the Brazilians', my little Portuguese heart sank...
I know they don't HAVE to know, but still
I feel like Dan who is a sports fan should know that one Ronaldo of all players, is from Portugal and not Brazil. I don't watch sports but even I know that 🤣🤣
He’s not talking about Cristiano. There was a legendary Brazilian Ronaldo before him.
@@nyochan I'm guessing you mean Ronaldinho? Always just thought his name was just that, and not actually Ronaldo. But again, I'm not a sports person :P
@@alex3256 No, there literally was a superstar Brazilian striker called Ronaldo. Ronaldinho was a different player.
You do realize that there were two other Ronaldo's from Brazil that were considered "kings", right?
Ronaldo fenômeno and Ronaldinho Gaúcho
When Arin said that Bane wasn’t in the clone wars I was actually mad and realized I was the terrible star wars nerd fan Danny mentioned
9:30 What?? Loki triggered Ragnarok when he put Sutur's crown in the flame. Hela didn't trigger it lol
I was thinking the same thing
The fact that Disney included Revan and Malak only as wrong answers to a question is just salt in the wound.
